The opportunity
Join our growing Indirect Tax team and help some of Australia's leading organisations navigate an increasingly complex tax landscape. We are seeking Stamp Duty Specialists at all levels of expertise, from Senior Consultants and Managers through to Senior Managers and Directors, to join our team.

Our Indirect Tax team is at the forefront of emerging tax developments and market-leading transactions, helping clients navigate complexity, manage risk and identify opportunities across a broad range of industries. This is an opportunity to work on high-profile and complex matters while collaborating with some of EY's leading tax professionals.
You'll work directly with clients to solve today's challenges while preparing for tomorrow's opportunities, translating technical expertise into practical commercial outcomes. This is a hybrid position based in Warrang – Sydney, Naarm – Melbourne, Meanjin – Brisbane or Borloo - Perth. Our roles can potentially be adjusted to work flexibly with reduced hours. Your key responsibilities
As a Stamp Duty Specialist (Senior Consultant, Manager, Senior Manager or Director), you'll join a high-performing team, provide trusted advisory services to leading organisations, and work directly with clients to navigate complex tax challenges, unlock value and drive sustainable business outcomes.
- Advise clients on complex Stamp Duty matters, particularly in the context of transactions, restructures, acquisitions and business transformations.
- Partner with clients to identify and resolve complex State Tax issues while delivering practical, commercially focused solutions.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, identifying opportunities to expand service offerings and develop innovative solutions that deliver measurable value.
- Lead, coach and develop talented indirect tax professionals while contributing to the growth of the practice through business development, thought leadership and market engagement.
Skills and attributes for success
We're looking for professionals who combine technical excellence with commercial acumen and a passion for building strong client relationships.
- Demonstrated Stamp Duty experience gained within a professional services accounting firm, law firm, revenue authority or comparable environment. Experience in Land Tax is advantageous but not essential.
- Strong technical Stamp Duty expertise, with the ability to translate complex legislative and regulatory requirements into practical, commercial advice for clients.
- Demonstrated leadership capability, including experience leading complex client engagements, developing people and contributing to market-facing initiatives.
- A collaborative and entrepreneurial mindset, with a passion for innovation, continuous improvement and leveraging technology to enhance client outcomes.
