You'll manage high-profile projects, deliver insights that help organisations navigate uncertainty and help clients build confidence with their key stakeholders.
This role offers the opportunity to work across a diverse range of engagements while helping to grow the next generation of actuarial talent.

- Develop and implement actuarial models and methodologies, analyse and interpret data to uncover critical insights for informed decision-making.
- Coach and develop junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
- Champion continuous improvement and shape the next generation of processes, tools, and analytical approaches.
- Expand your skills and professional horizons by engaging in a variety of projects – from business transformation, capital and risk management, pricing, and product innovation to liability valuation and appointed actuary work.
- Collaborate across our broader Financial Services practice, including strategy, transactions, tax, technology, and risk professionals.

- Qualifications and experience: A Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, or a related field. Completed, or progressing towards, a professional actuarial qualification (e.g., FIAA), with 7+ years of professional experience in an actuarial role, including workers compensation, motor accident injury insurance or similar. Experience with coding, programming, and AI is highly valued.
- Industry knowledge: In-depth understanding of long tail, bodily injury lines of business and general insurance. Experience in areas like product development and pricing, claims and reserving, underwriting and reinsurance, capital and risk management, asset and liability valuation, IFRS 17, regulatory and prudential frameworks, advanced analytics and portfolio strategy is advantageous.
- Skills and abilities: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for building and maintaining client relationships, and the ability to present complex information clearly to non-specialists. Proven analytical and problem-solving skills; strong quantitative abilities; proficiency with actuarial software, techniques and ability to review technical work across Excel, SAS, R, and Python.
- Project management and leadership: Ability to manage projects, develop new business opportunities, and mentor junior staff. Demonstrates initiative, a can-do attitude, and proactiveness in trying new approaches.
- Adaptability and continuous learning: Comfortable with complexity and flexible in a dynamic, technology-driven environment. Commitment to staying up to date with market trends, legislation, and regulatory changes, and contributing to business thought leadership.
