Tax Technology Advisor, National Tax (Indirect Tax - Tax Technology & Transformation) (Manager) (Multiple Positions) (1701439), Ernst & Young U.S. LLP, Chicago, IL. 

 

Assess, improve and monitor tax functions' processes, and support clients in managing effective relationships with tax authorities. Manage key components of multiple tax engagements, including strategy, planning, risk assessment, team management, engagement economics and delivery of exceptional client service. Collect and document engagement team and client feedback; identify market events such as new client needs and competitor activity. Develop or enhance proficiency in the use of major technology tools. Drive overall deployment of technology services through active participation as part of pursuit and client service engagement teams. Monitor penetration and performance of technology services and communicate to leadership. Monitor competitive and client feedback and needs and communicate with leadership to develop appropriate responses, product or communications. 
  
Manage and motivate teams of professionals with diverse skills and backgrounds. Consistently deliver quality client services by monitoring progress. Demonstrate in-depth technical capabilities and professional knowledge. Maintain long-term client relationships and networks. Cultivate business development opportunities.

 

Full time employment, Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week, 8:30 am – 5:30 pm. 

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

 

Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Tax, or a related field and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate related work experience. Alternatively, will accept a Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Tax, or a related field and 4 years of related work experience.

 

Must have 4 years of experience in technology transformation and/or operational assessments.  

 

Must have 4 years of experience in Data and Reporting requirements. 

 

Must have 4 years of experience in standard process analysis tools, process mapping, and flow chart diagramming, designing and developing databases. 

 

Must have 2 years of experience in robotics process automation software configuration, including Blue Prism, Alteryx and/or Automation Anywhere. 

 

Must have 1 year of experience in supervising teams consisting of at least 2 people on multiple projects and providing direction to team members. 

 

Must hold at least one of the following certifications/accreditations: Certified Digital Product Manager (CDPM); Project Management Professional (PMP) or Lean Six Sigma Black Belt; Master's degree in in Finance, Accounting, Business, Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Tax; Certified Member of the Institute (CMI); Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) or foreign equivalent; Certified Scrum Professional Certifications (CSPC); Certified SAFe Professionals; Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA); PMI Agile Certified Practitioner; Vertex Certified Implementer; Microsoft Certified Azure or DevOps Professional Certification; SQL Server Database Certification; and/or Microsoft Certified Power Platform App. 


Requires domestic travel up to 50% in order to serve client needs.
