Junior IT Auditor
Job description
Job purpose
As a Junior IT Auditor, you will work as a team member on various engagements assessing various IT environments in accordance with the Information Security standards, EY methodology and the leading practices.
Responsibilities
- Apply EY key principles, practices, and techniques
- Analyze business, financial and IT systems, and their supporting IT infrastructure
- To understand IT environment components (e.g., databases, operating systems, and network software) that support the IT applications and identify risks and points for improvements
- Knowledge of SAP security concepts
- Participate in understanding of clients’ business processes and procedures in various industries
- Participate in test of application/configuration controls
- Participate in data analytics activities
- Communicate work status and issues to the team on a timely basis
- Identify potential vulnerabilities, risks, and weaknesses in IT Systems by reviewing design and implementation
- Ensures audit documents (narratives, process flows, risk assessment, programs, workpapers)
- Highly motivated and able to work proactively in a changing environment
- Ensure continuous collaboration with the internal audit team to keep each other informed and updated on new tech or frameworks
Technical skills requirements
- University education
- 0-1 years of Information Systems related professional experience (Computer Science; Data Science and Business Analytics; Information Systems in Economics; Information Security; Information Technology; Business Process Management; Computer Engineering; Software Engineering; Economic Informatics)
- Desire to pursue related professional certifications such as CISA, CISM and/or CISSP
- Knowledge and understanding of Operating Systems (Windows, Unix/ Linux based, etc.), Databases (MS SQL, Oracle, etc.), network and security devices (routers, switches, firewalls, etc.); ERP (On-Premises; Cloud; Industry Specific; Open-Source
- Attention to detail with a commitment to high quality and accuracy
- Proficient IT skills
- Self-motivated, positive attitude
- Willingness to learn
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; German language is a plus
