The opportunity

 

Cyber Security is one of the most important risks for today’s businesses. Our clients are overwhelmingly turning to EY for help and guidance on how to protect their assets, minimize business disruption and improve security as they continue to exploit technology and the Internet of things (IoT).  

 

As part of our cyber security engineering team, you will be providing advisory and technical execution support to help our clients improve their cyber security posture and respond to cyber threats. You will provide security domain expertise and utilize your business insight to work closely with our clients to advise, design, build and deploy security solutions and services.

 

Your Key Responsibilities

 

  • Handles the architecture design and assessment of security solutions and services for complex projects to completion. This includes production support and documentation for client’s On-Premises, Hybrid and Cloud-Based environments including Multi-Cloud.
  • Undertakes implementation, configuration and operationalization activities of new and existing security solutions or services, driving compliance with and contributing to the development of relevant standards.
  • Handles project management and operational needs.

 

To qualify for the role you must have:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, Mathematics or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Information Security experience in an engineering function.
  • Technical proficiency in at least one cloud service provider such as: Azure, Google and/or AWS Cloud services.
  • Experience in  implementing and operating various security solutions (on-premise, cloud, hybrid).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to document processes, procedures, and security designs clearly and accurately for distribution to internal teams and customers.
  • Demonstrated experience in dealing with external vendors and suppliers.

 

 

Ideally, you will also have:

 

  • Involved in large-scale, global IT deployments implementing complex security solutions and services or application and data estate cloud migrations
  • Hands-on knowledge of security-related products and technologies (e.g. Network/Endpoint/Cloud Security, SASE, DLP, IAM, SIEM/SOAR  etc.) 
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure security tools such as: Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Microsoft Sentinel, Azure Firewall, Azure WAF, Azure Policies, Microsoft Entra ID, KQL and/or 
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 security tools such as Microsoft Purview, Microsoft Defender XDR (Defender for Endpoints, Defender for Office 365, Defender for Identity, Defender for Cloud Apps) and Microsoft Intune.
  • Microsoft Security certifications such as AZ-500, MS-500, SC-100, SC-200, SC-300, SC-400
  • Vendor-agnostic security Certification(s) such as from ISC2 (CISSP, CCSP, etc.), ISACA (CISM, CISA) or SANS/GIAC (GSEC, GCLD, GPCS, etc.) will be considered a plus.
  • In depth hands-on experience with a multitude of operating systems, databases and networking infrastructure.
  • Ability in writing custom scripting tools (Python, Ansible, PowerShell, etc.), interacting with API’s.
