EY is growing and for that reason we are looking for a dynamic and motivated consultant to expand our Climate Change and Sustainability Services (CCaSS) team. EY CCaSS works with actors in different industries on various sustainability topics, addressing environmental, social and governance (ESG) performance and ensuring compliance with the existing and new reporting standards. various sustainability topics such as circular economy, sustainable business strategies and non-financial reporting. We provide services to private and public organizations in Belgium, in Europe and worldwide, and help our clients achieve their sustainability goals and compliance requirements.
Our team is divided over our offices in Antwerp, Ghent and Brussels (Diegem).
Your Key Responsibilities
- You will perform several types of sustainability audits and internal audits on sustainability topics and KPIs across the EU; coached by the lead auditor;
- You will support clients in their sustainability journey, from strategy and implementation to reporting, and setting up their sustainability strategy plans;
- You will conduct analysis with regards to CSRD, EU Taxonomy, CS3D, GHG, circular economy, etc. legislations as well as trends, on a national and international level;
- Because you will work within a branch of EY that is in full expansion, you are expected to do your part in developing the market and being actively on the lookout for new opportunities.
Your Profile
- You have a master degree in preferably environmental sciences, engineering, chemistry, sustainable development, finance or economics ; other degrees can also be considered;
- You have a first experience either in performing verifications or audits; or in a relevant ESG field;
- Knowledge of the CSRD (Corporate Social Responsibility Directive) and the EU taxonomy
- You have a passion for everything that has to do with sustainability;
- You are analytical and you love to work with data and numbers, you love to analyse and improve processes; you have a critical mindset;
- You see value in helping organisations excel through performing audits and verifications;
- You can work autonomously, our team is still growing so we expect you to be able to support in networking and prospecting;
- Because you will interact with clients we expect you to speak native Dutch and/or French and have a very good knowledge of English.
