The Opportunity

We are looking for capable and motivated professionals to join our team as a Data Engineer/Architect. This role will support the clients in their journey to become data-driven, encompassing both data structure design and strategy and hands-on data engineering.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborating with other Architects in implementing complex end-to-end Enterprise solutions.
• Supporting the strategy, planning, and implementation of data design services, providing sizing and configuration assistance, and performing needs assessments.
• Engage with clients to understand their business needs, pain points, and realities.
• Define, guide, and advise clients on developing data strategies.
• Gather, challenge, and prioritize clients' data requirements.
• Define and design innovative Data & Analytics architectures and solutions.
• Oversee and develop the data architecture and the technical architecture for the data platforms, including data acquisition and integration, data modeling, transformation, and quality processes, master data management, data warehousing, data lake, data ontologies, and metadata layers.
• Evaluate and select tools and components necessary for optimal data management.
• Develop and maintain data lake and data warehouse schematics, layouts, architectures and relational/non-relational databases for data access and Advanced Analytics.
• Implement ETL data flows and data pipelines.
• Collaborating with business leaders to identify business needs and data opportunities.
• Take an active role in coaching and developing junior consultants in the team.
• Support in business development.

Skills and Attributes for Success

• Proven track record and experience in data strategy, architecture, data modeling, data governance, AI, Machine Learning, and data platform design.
• Experience with Big Data technologies, containerization platforms, databases (SQL and NoSQL), and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
• Good understanding of ETL, ELT, data ingestion/cleansing, and engineering skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, ability to adapt quickly and positively to change, strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Eager to learn and grow professionally.
• Must have a strong entrepreneurial and team spirit, balanced by a healthy sense of autonomy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or other related fields.
• At least 3 years’ experience in data strategy or technology consulting or similar roles.
• Excellent English communication skills. A good level of another foreign language would be an asset. Understanding of the different data architecture patterns is a real asset.
