We are looking for Executives to join our Transaction, Strategy and Execution (TSE) team within our Financial Services Practice in London. We’re focused on our clients’ key strategic activities, advising and influencing at a senior leadership level. We excel at ensuring transactions are executed smoothly and efficiently, without compromising standards or taking uncalculated risks for sellers or buyers.
Your key responsibilities
As an Executive within the team you will support clients on a daily basis in highly confidential transactions in both a pre-deal and post-deal context. Responsibilities include:
- Support and work within multi-faceted client engagement teams to execute acquisitions, divestments and/or IPOs for a diverse range of clients (incl. FTSE 100)
- Demonstrate strong transaction and operational knowledge in Financial Services
- Demonstrate an ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and senior client stakeholders, fostering an open and inclusive environment
- Demonstrate an ability to solve complex problems, identify transaction risks / issues, and recommend potential resolutions and/or strategic/tactical initiatives
- Deliver a high degree of client satisfaction and quality work products
- Perform client and industry research and prepare materials to support client pitches and proposals.
- Work across the deal life-cycle from transaction strategy and design, operational due diligence and synergies, through to deal execution and integration.”
Skills and attributes for success
- Proven client / stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build and develop networks and relationships with both external and internal contacts
- Financial acumen and analysis: able to apply sound financial analysis and a rigorous approach to quantify the impact of potential operational issues.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills including the ability to synthesise complex subject matter in a concise and relatable manner
- Knowledge of Operating Models, and an understanding of how their key components across People, Process, Technology, 3rd Parties, Assets, Brand/IP etc. are impacted by transactions.
- Transformation / Programme experience including understanding the key components necessary for successful execution of separations / carve-outs, integrations and IPOs
To qualify for the role you must have
- Strong track record in management consulting / industry (or equivalent), preferably with exposure to the transactions environment and the Financial Services sector
- At least 2-5 years of related work experience
Ideally, you’ll also have
- Financial Services expertise/experience
- Strong academic record
- Excellent problem-solving skills, curiosity and creative thinking
- Ability to perform detailed research, synthesising and analysing a large set of qualitative and quantitative data
- Strong project management and team leadership / collaboration skills
- Proficient at Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Deals / M&A experience
- A bachelor's degree
