The opportunity

The EY-Parthenon team in Greece sits within Strategy and Transactions team of Central, Eastern and Southeastern Europe & Asia (CESA), and is experiencing strong growth, resulting in opportunities for talented and ambitious individuals looking to develop a career as strategy consultants.

Due to our rapid expansion, we are now looking for Senior Strategy Consultants to join our team in Athens. They’ll be a part of a collaborative team that applies the latest thinking, research, analytics, and methodologies to help transform clients’ businesses and solve complex business matters, driving change for tomorrow’s working world. As a Senior Consultant in our team, you will:

• advise clients across various  sectors, support key decision makers in developing transformative corporate, growth and transaction strategies, and executing them
• understand key business drivers, co-develop our approach with clients, agree value measurements with the client, provide value to the client through insights, factual conclusions, and recommendations.
• demonstrate the ability to gather and analyze relevant business and industry information, effectively assessing it using strategic and commercial evaluation techniques.
• assist with business development activities  including client pitches, presentations and client meetings.
• take responsibility for own learning and development, provide coaching to others, and participate in upward feedback.
• share your technical and other knowledge with your team.
• be an effective time manager, able to keep calm under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
• be a team player, effectively building relationships with  all client and EY echelons
• work collaboratively in cross-functional teams to implement and execute strategic initiatives.

Skills & Attributes for Success

To qualify for the role, you must have

• Excellent academic background from a top tier university. Master’s degree in business, engineering, economics or finance. An MBA degree will be considered as a strong asset
• 3-6 years of relevant strategy consulting experience
• Well-developed structured problem solving and analytical skills
• Highly developed logic and linear thinking
• Strong business acumen with an ability to shape the business agenda and define strategic roadmaps
• Experience in tackling complex business projects and collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams
• Comfortable with project task & activity ownership and accountable for work outputs
• Strong people and leadership skills (including team coordination, people development & coaching)
• Previous experience with business development activities will be considered a strong plus
• Entrepreneurial spirit with an ability to work autonomously and exhibit a high degree of agility
• Excellent written and verbal communication both in Greek and English
• Experience in producing and reviewing high caliber reports, papers, and presentations to senior executives and stakeholders in a clear compelling manner
• Solid influencing skills and stakeholder management with the ability to develop long-lasting relationships both internally and externally
• Good use of MS office (excel, powerpoint, outlook); other data visualisation tools will be considered a plus (e.g. PowerBI)   
• Professionalism and consistency in approach to client work, internal business, and practice development 
• Experience in some or most of the below areas:
  • Corporate and BU strategy
  • Business model reinvention
  • Portfolio strategy
  • New market entry opportunities
  • Go-to-market strategy
  • Commercial due diligence
  • Vendor due diligence
  • Integration strategy planning and execution (post-merger integrations)
  • Divestiture strategy planning and execution (carve-outs)

• Experience in the above areas in one/two of the following sectors:
