The opportunity

The EY-Parthenon Financial Services (FS) Strategy team is currently seeking to expand their team and recruit a Manager who will be able to build on their current strategy development, transaction and commercial experience, and work on a number of diverse and demanding projects.

In the EY-Parthenon FS Strategy team, you can expect to work with a range of Financial Services clients (e.g., banks, insurers, payments providers, wealth and asset managers, FinTechs), advising on strategy development (e.g., growth strategy, product strategy, new market entry), and both corporate and private equity clients on the investment, acquisition and divestment of FS-specific businesses. The FS sector is highly dynamic, where regulation, new entrants, digitisation, and evolving customer behaviour are just some of the market forces influencing the landscape and future outlook. As such, for those with experience in Financial Services, this role provides the opportunity to continue to immerse yourself in one of the most complex and exciting sectors.

Your key responsibilities

As a Manager at EY-Parthenon Strategy team, your will have the following responsibilities:

• Lead client projects and engagement teams to deliver high quality outputs;
• Maintain relationships with client personnel at appropriate levels;
• Drive business development by preparing client meetings and project proposals and proactively seeking and identifying new project opportunities;
• Demonstrate advanced knowledge of all phases and aspects of strategy development and implementation;
• Deliver a high degree of client satisfaction with the engagement process and work products sufficient to drive additional and repeated engagements;
• Develop business strategies using tools such as market analysis, customer research, portfolio optimization, etc;
• Effectively manage diverse and international teams, maintaining the work life balance and promoting EY-Parthenon culture and values;
• Mentor and coach junior colleagues to support their personal and professional growth and fit to the team;
• Lead marketing and promotional efforts to further boost brand presence and awareness;
• Actively support recruitment efforts in identifying and selecting future team members.

What we look for

To qualify for the role, you must meet the following requirements:

• Excellent academic background with a bachelors from a top-tier university in a relevant discipline, for example, accounting, finance, engineering, economics, business administration
• Master’s degree in business, engineering, or economics. An MBA degree will be considered as a strong asset
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills both in Greek and English
• 5-8 years of relevant working experience
• Prior experience in strategy consulting or relevant experience in the industry
• Relevant sector experience across Financial Services (e.g., subsectors including banking, insurance, wealth and asset management among others)
• Proven experience in corporate and business strategy, business planning, market study, business/operating model design, and business transformation
• Proven track record of project management and delivery, particularly large-scale consulting engagements
• Experience of producing and reviewing high caliber reports, papers, and presentations
• Strong people skills, including cross-functional collaboration and working with multi-disciplinary teams, staffing, learning, performance management, topic development, etc.
• Strong internal and external business development/commercial acumen - track record in business development and sales of consulting services
• Ability to further develop strategy and value creation offering
• Entrepreneurial spirit, team player and excellent networker - ability to connect with the EY Global network
