The Greek EY Strategy & Transactions (SaT) practice is the leader in Greece and South-Eastern Europe in professional financial advisory services market. Within SaT, our Turnaround & Restructuring Strategy team provides its specialized services to rapidly solve, execute and ultimately transform the outcome during urgent, critical and complex situations. Our World-class strategic, financial, turnaround and restructuring advice is provided to high profile clients who urgently need to address underperformance or capital constraint issues. Our specialized professionals with their deep insights in all sectors, regions and markets combining industry and situational expertise work at pace with private equity firms, financial institutions and large corporations providing them with tailored finance and strategy solutions on complex cases enabling them to make critical business decisions. Our team is fully integrated both within our wider Strategy and Transactions Services practice and our firm, and our clients reap the benefits of this broad range of knowledge, skills, and experience. Your key responsibilities

  • You’ll be working in a professional environment alongside a vibrant and exciting team of experienced financial professionals on a variety of projects across a wide range of sectors.
  • As a financial consultant, you will be a vital member of the team executing financial advisory projects. You’ll be focused on understanding the client’s business, profit drivers and trends, help clients mitigate risks and improve deal structures.
  • Your experience will be diverse, with each project offering new opportunities to expand your technical expertise over a wide range of sectors.
  • Learn and develop technical and personal skills to support achievement of career goals, through a blend of structured learning, coaching and experiences.

What we look for

Required

  • Excellent academic background, including a bachelor’s degree from a top tier university in Accounting / Finance / Banking / Auditing / Economics, or any other related field a with a strong quantitative focus
  • 2+ years of relevant working experience, ideally in a Corporate Finance department, or Big4 professional services firm
  • Excellent written and verbal skills both in Greek and English
  • Excellent knowledge in MS Office packages, in particular MS Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong numerical / analytical ability, with corporate finance and financial accounting knowledge and experience
  • Outstanding organizational skills, flexibility, and ability to work under tight deadlines
  • Excellent project management, attention to detail, communication, problem solving, interpersonal and teaming skills
  • Willingness to learn, proactivity and the ability to adapt to new challenges and ideas, while working in a multicultural corporate environment

 

Desirable

  • An active CPA/ACCA/ACA/CFA certification (or in a final stage of completion) 
  • A master’s degree from a top tier university in Accounting / Finance / Banking / Auditing, or any other related field a with a strong quantitative focus
  • Accounting knowledge and experience (IFRS and Greek GAAP)
  • Solid negotiation and influencing skills, and the ability to develop long-lasting relationships both internally and externally
