Graduate Tax GCR Suva

 

The opportunity 

 

We are looking for a motivated Tax Graduate/Associate with at least 2 years of relevant experience to join our growing Tax team. The successful candidate will support the delivery of high-quality tax compliance services, assist clients in meeting their tax obligations, and develop technical expertise within a collaborative and professional environment.

 

Your key responsibilities 

 

  • Prepare and lodge tax returns including Corporate Income Tax, VAT, PAYE, FBT, and other statutory filings.
  • Assist in the execution of end-to-end tax compliance processes.
  • Prepare tax computations, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
  • Ensure compliance with FRCS requirements and filing deadlines.
  • Assist with tax audits, reviews, and client queries.
  • Maintain accurate tax records and documentation.
  • Liaise with clients and internal stakeholders to obtain information required for tax compliance.
  • Support process improvement initiatives and quality reviews.
  • Monitor legislative changes and emerging tax developments.
  • Manage multiple engagements and meet deadlines while maintaining quality standards.

 

Skills and attributes for success 

 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Commerce, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • Working towards or interested in pursuing a professional qualification (CA, CPA, ACCA, or equivalent).
  • Strong academic record and understanding of accounting and taxation principles.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in taxation, accounting, audit, or professional services.
  • Experience preparing and reviewing tax returns and tax calculations.
  • Exposure to Fiji tax compliance requirements, including VAT, PAYE, FBT, and Corporate Tax.
  • Experience working with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience managing multiple assignments and meeting deadlines.
