The Opportunity

We are looking for an SAP CPI Manager to join the EY GDS – SAP TechOps Team. As part of our EY GDS – TechOps team, you will be responsible for the development, maintenance and optimization of our SAP CPI solutions in alignment with our business objectives in a multi-region environment. You will collaborate closely with cross functional teams to address issues, implement enhancements, and optimize applications to deliver seamless global operations support to global clients.

You will lead the design, development, and implementation of integration solutions within the SAP BTP Integration Suite. You will bridge business requirements with technical specifications, connecting SAP S/4HANA, cloud apps (SuccessFactors/Ariba), and third-party systems. Key responsibilities include designing iFlows, securing APIs, troubleshooting, and mentoring developers

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day to day Application Management support for SAP Applications across IT Service Management including service requests, incident management, enhancement requests as Level 2 Application Management Specialist
  • Provide level 2 support for SAP CPI/PIPO development activities including customizations, enhancements, and bug fixes across multiple SAP environments troubleshooting and resolving issues related to customer CPI developments and SAP System Performance
  • Collaborate with functional consultants to gather requirements for incidents, enhancements and problems and translate them into technical solutions
  • Perform Debugging and Testing to ensure the quality of CPI/PI/PO developments
  • Support system integration testing, user acceptance testing and production deployment of CPI/PI/PO objects
  • Document technical specifications, code changes and implementation details for knowledge sharing and future reference  
  • Keep abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies and SAP best practices to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. 
  • Participate in on-call rotation and provide off hours support as needed to ensure the availability and reliability of critical SAP systems.
  • Available to work on shift hours depending on the requirement of the client

 

Skills and attributes for success

  • Bachelor’s degree in related technology field (Computer, Engineering, Science, etc.) or comparable job experiences.
  • Minimum of 7 years working experience in SAP CPI/PI/PO development with a focus on level 2 support
  • Team Leadership & Management: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of developers, fostering collaboration and high performance.
  • Proven experience in designing complex integrations, cloud applications, and security architectures.
  • Sound experience in Design and implement complex, end-to-end integration scenarios using SAP BTP Integration Suite (CPI, API Management, Event Mesh).
  • Solution Delivery: Drive end-to-end delivery of SAP projects, from requirement gathering to implementation, focusing on scalable and maintainable architectures.
  • 3 to 5 years of SAP PI/PO/CPI experience participation as a lead person responsible for integration design and implementation in at least two full-cycle SAP projects or roll-outs
  • Strong skills in SAP PI/PO/CPI Design, Configuration, and Administration
  • Good hands-on knowledge of Java, XSLT Mapping, Java mapping, Groovy Scripts Support integration projects through various phases from gathering business requirements to go-live and post-implementation support
  • Good Understanding of Business processes and Create and maintain end-to-end functional designs for interfaces
  • Suggest improvements to current operational procedures within integration environment good knowledge of integration technologies and specific SAP Integration architecture
  • Strong Knowledge of using IDOC, RFC, JDBC, File, ABAP Proxy, SOAP, HTTP, REST, SFTP, SuccessFactors, sFTP
  • Knowledge of SAP BPM/BRM Design, Build, Monitoring and troubleshooting
  • Strong Knowledge of SAP Cloud Platform services like CPI-DS, SDI, Open Connectors, Persistence
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills with good attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams effectively in a team environment
  • Good understanding of the integration patterns, best practices.
  • Strong knowledge in integration of SAP and Non-SAP applications with 3rd party & internal applications
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work in a global setting with multi-regional teams, understanding cultural nuances and time zone differences and across shifts
  • Flexibility in managing work hours due to the volatile nature of Application Management support work including ability to do shifts and being on-call for critical business requirements

 

Ideally, you’ll also have:

  • Excellent knowledge in SAP CPI/PI/PO and API Development with goof knowledge of HTML/XML/WSDL/XSD, JSON, SOAP, AXIS, ODATA, with hands on experience in debugging interfaces issues and development of small to medium complex enhancements 
  • Experience with PO PI configuration mapping and development using Message Mapping, XSLT
  • Knowledge of complex mapping transformation, resolving technical issues, adapter configurations.
  • Experience in EDIFACT and ANSI X12 formats, XML for B2B EDI
  • Experience in APIM, Event Mesh
  • Expert in using the standard Modules & Development of Custom Adapter modules.
  • Expert in Java for developing User Defined Functions (UDF) and NWDS
