• Our innovation specialists serve the GDS Client Service and Enablement Services teams, along with Service Lines, Core Business Services and Sectors. The team brings the desired environment, technologies and skilled teams together for facilitation, rapid prototyping and innovative thinking. The competencies offered include analytics, digital, user experience, mobile technology, infrastructure, Microsoft technologies and open innovation.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled SAP BTP Architect with 3 to 7 years of experience in SAP technologies and architecture, specializing in SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), Core Data Services (CDS), ABAP, SAPUI5/Fiori, and cloud-native solutions. In this senior role, you will lead the architectural design, strategy, and implementation of SAP BTP solutions, ensuring alignment with business goals and technology standards.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Define and lead the architectural vision and strategy for SAP BTP solutions across projects and engagements.
• Design scalable, secure, and robust SAP BTP applications and integrations leveraging CAP, SAPUI5/Fiori, ABAP, and cloud services.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams, ensuring best practices and quality standards.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to translate requirements into architectural solutions.
• Oversee governance, compliance, and risk management related to SAP BTP implementations.
• Drive innovation by evaluating emerging SAP technologies and cloud services to enhance solution capabilities.
• Mentor and develop technical teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.

Skills and Attributes for Success

• Proficient in SAP BTP architecture, including CAP (Cloud Application Programming Model), SAPUI5/Fiori, and ABAP.
• Strong knowledge of Core Data Services (CDS), OData services, and RESTful API design and consumption.
• Experience with SAP Gateway, HANA Cloud Connector, and SAP Workflow.
• Understanding of SAP Basis, security, and authorization concepts.
• Ability to design and implement cloud-native applications on SAP BTP.
• Familiarity with integration patterns, middleware, and hybrid cloud landscapes.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing frameworks.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ideal Candidate Profile
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (BE/BTech), MCA, or equivalent with 3 to 7 years of relevant industry experience.
• Hands-on experience in SAP BTP solution architecture and development.
• Experience in SAPUI5/Fiori elements, front-end extensions, and back-end service development.
• Exposure to S/4HANA key user extensions, developer extensions, and Side-by-Side extensions using SAP BTP.
• Strong analytical skills, problem-solving capability, and attention to detail.
• SAP certifications in relevant technologies (e.g., SAP Certified Development Specialist – SAP BTP) are preferred.
• Proven ability to lead SAP projects and deliver high-quality solutions.
