• Prepare and review balance sheet schedules, supporting analyses, and other financial records.
• Review account balances, investigate variances, and drive the resolution of reconciling or outstanding items.
• Perform general ledger reviews and coordinate account clean-up activities, escalating material issues where appropriate.
Reconciliations, Receivables & Cash Flow
• Prepare and review bank and account reconciliations and ensure identified differences are resolved promptly.
• Support cash flow forecasting and monitor working capital information for completeness and accuracy.
• Review accounts receivable ageing and coordinate follow-up on outstanding balances with relevant stakeholders.
• Work with internal teams on billing, collection, credit control, and related reporting activities.
Tax, Statutory & Audit Support
• Prepare and review information, schedules, and working papers for indirect tax, corporate tax, and other statutory requirements.
• Coordinate periodic tax estimates, reconciliations, submissions, and related compliance activities.
• Prepare and review supporting schedules and documentation for internal and external audits.
• Act as a key point of contact for auditors, tax advisers, company secretarial providers, and other external parties on assigned matters.
Stakeholder Management & Service Delivery
• Partner with finance colleagues and business stakeholders to obtain information, resolve queries, and complete deliverables within agreed timelines.
• Provide clear and practical guidance on financial reporting and accounting matters within the scope of the role.
• Maintain complete and organised records to support governance, controls, audit readiness, and knowledge continuity.
• Communicate risks, delays, and material issues promptly, with recommended actions for resolution.
Continuous Improvement & Team Collaboration

• Work collaboratively across teams and support other finance activities and ad hoc requirements when needed.
Skills and attributes for success

• High attention to detail and a consistent commitment to accurate, high-quality work.
• Ability to independently organise work, manage competing priorities, and meet recurring deadlines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate variances and drive issues to resolution.
• Clear communication and stakeholder-management skills, including confidence working with colleagues and external advisers at different levels.
• Proactive, accountable, and comfortable taking ownership while contributing positively to a team.
To qualify for the role, you must have

Ideally, you'll also have
