The Opportunity

 

The Senior Consultant - CPQ Transformation will support Configure, Price, Quote transformation initiatives within the Customer - MSS practice. This role combines commercial process improvement, quote-to-cash process design, requirements structuring, solution support, and delivery coordination. You will work with client stakeholders to assess current-state configuration, pricing, quoting, approval, and contract handoff processes, identify improvement opportunities, and support implementation of CPQ-enabled workflows that improve sales productivity, pricing discipline, quote accuracy, cycle time, and revenue realization.

 

 

Your Key Responsibilities

 

  • Business Development & Market Leadership
    • Support CPQ transformation pursuits by contributing to proposals, RFP responses, client discussion materials, and solution narratives.
    • Conduct secondary research, benchmark analysis, and current-state diagnostics to support CPQ modernization, quote-to-cash improvement, and commercial effectiveness offerings.
    • Contribute to reusable assets, accelerators, playbooks, process templates, and point-of-view materials on CPQ transformation, pricing governance, and quote-to-cash enablement.
    • Support preparation of executive presentations, workshop materials, and client-facing deliverables to communicate CPQ transformation opportunities and recommendations.
    • Keep abreast of CPQ platform capabilities, pricing automation, approval workflow trends, AI-enabled quoting insights, and commercial operations practices that may affect client growth priorities.
  • Client Engagement & Delivery
    • Support CPQ transformation engagements from current-state assessment through future-state design, implementation planning, adoption support, and benefits tracking.
    • Assess product configuration, pricing, discounting, quoting, approval, proposal generation, contract handoff, order handoff, and quote-to-cash process performance to identify improvement opportunities.
    • Document business requirements, process flows, user stories, functional specifications, data needs, approval rules, and operational readiness considerations for CPQ-enabled transformation initiatives.
    • Support design of CPQ workflows, product and pricing rules, guided selling journeys, approval hierarchies, quote templates, governance routines, and performance dashboards.
    • Work with sales, pricing, finance, legal, product, operations, technology, and data teams to translate commercial priorities into structured delivery inputs and implementation-ready artefacts.
    • Support CPQ adoption activities, including stakeholder alignment, training inputs, change impact documentation, communications support, UAT coordination, and adoption tracking.
    • Contribute to business cases and benefits models to quantify quote cycle time reduction, pricing compliance improvement, sales productivity gains, margin protection, error reduction, and revenue uplift.
    • Track project milestones, risks, issues, dependencies, decisions, and actions to support delivery excellence across scope, timeline, and quality expectations.
  • Technology & Innovation
    • Support teams in leveraging CPQ platforms, CRM systems, pricing tools, contract lifecycle management solutions, workflow automation, analytics, and AI-enabled commercial insights.
    • Assist in defining data, integration, reporting, governance, and adoption considerations required for CPQ transformation and quote-to-cash enablement.
    • Identify opportunities to use templates, diagnostics, analytics, and automation to improve discovery, solution design, requirements readiness, testing support, and value tracking.
    • Responsible for decision-making, optimizing processes, resource management, and overseeing team management as needed for task execution.
    • Accountable for allocating personnel, supervising team members, assigning tasks, ensuring that the team has the necessary tools and support to succeed in their roles and optimizing and evaluating their performance to meet organizational goals.

Ideally, you’ll also

 

  • Demonstrate knowledge of CPQ and revenue transformation capabilities, including operating model design, pricing governance, approval workflow optimization, guided selling, product catalog readiness, and quote-to-cash excellence.
  • Have experience leveraging AI-driven commercial insights, including quote recommendations, pricing and margin analytics, customer 360 views, and advanced sales performance reporting.
  • Have exposure to leading CPQ, CRM, and revenue management platforms such as Salesforce CPQ, Salesforce Revenue Cloud, Oracle CPQ, SAP CPQ, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Sales, Conga CPQ, and PROS.
  • Bring experience across industries such as technology, professional services, manufacturing, industrial products, consumer products, healthcare, financial services, or other B2B sectors.

 

 

What we look for

 

  • 5+ years of experience in CPQ transformation, quote-to-cash transformation, sales transformation, pricing operations, commercial excellence, revenue operations, or digital transformation.
  • Consulting experience is desired.
  • Experience supporting CPQ-enabled transformation programs, quote-to-cash process improvement, pricing and discounting workflow redesign, or commercial operations improvement projects.
  • Strong understanding of product configuration, pricing rules, discount approvals, quote generation, proposal workflows, contract handoff, order handoff, and commercial performance metrics.
  • Hands-on exposure to CPQ platforms, CRM systems, pricing tools, workflow automation, reporting tools, or sales process redesign.
  • Strong analytical, documentation, stakeholder coordination, & project management skills.
