EY- Cyber Security (DPP)- Risk – Consulting – Senior

As part of our EY Cybersecurity practice within the Risk Consulting team, your role will be primarily responsible for leading and delivering end-to-end BigID implementation and data discovery engagements for enterprise customers. The main responsibilities of this role include solution design, architecture, deployment, configuration, integration, onboarding of data sources, data classification, privacy management, and ongoing optimization of the BigID platform. The individual will work closely with business stakeholders, data owners, privacy teams, security teams, infrastructure teams, and application owners to establish data visibility, governance, and privacy controls across the organization.

 

The opportunity

We're looking for a Senior Consultant in the Risk Consulting team to work on large-scale Data Protection, Data Privacy, Data Governance, and Data Discovery transformation projects for clients across the globe. In line with EY’s commitment to quality, the consultant shall ensure that all deliverables meet EY quality standards and are reviewed appropriately. As an influential member of the team, the consultant will help create a positive learning culture, mentor junior team members, and contribute to capability development within the Data Protection and Privacy practice.

 

Your key responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end implementation and deployment of BigID solutions across enterprise environments.
  • Conduct client workshops, requirement gathering sessions, and use-case assessments for Data Discovery, Data Classification, Privacy, and Data Governance initiatives.
  • Respond to escalations by the Incident Response Team
  • Follow processes to maintain the leading DATA DISCOVERY / DATA CLASSIFICATION system
  • Assisting clients in privacy related incident response activities.
  • Supporting the client’s team by acting as an interim team member (e.g. security officer, security manager, security analyst.)

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • Bachelor's or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 5-8 years of experience in supporting Data Security Technology.
  • At least 4-6 years of experience in two or more of the following:
    • BigID Architecture & Design
    • Data Source Onboarding
    • Data Discovery & Classification
    • Privacy Management
    • Data Access Intelligence
    • Data Inventory & Catalog
    • Retention and Remediation Workflows
  • Experience of Administration of the Data Discovery, Data Classification tools which includes configuring policies, upgrading, and patching for leading vendors. (BigID, Spirion, DataGuise, Microsoft Information Protection, Boldon James, Titus, DLP Data Discovery etc.)
  • Knowledge of BIGID is a must.
  • Technical/Vendor certification will be added advantage.
  • Experience in utilizing and good knowledge of other data protection technology like DLP, CASB, PKI, Encryption will be added advantage.
  • Maintain current data protection and privacy expertise, skills and competences.
  • Ability to independently research and solve technical issues.
  • Demonstrated integrity in a professional environment.
  • Knowledge of core Information Security concepts related to Governance, Risk & Compliance.
  • Ability to work in and adapt to a changing environment.
  • Extend required support for any reported data protection and privacy incidents such as information breaches and leakages.
  • Ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner.

 

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • BigID Professional or Technical Certifications.
  • Experience with Microsoft Purview Data Security and Data Governance solutions.
  • Experience with Data Access Governance and Data Governance transformation programs.
  • Knowledge of DLP, CASB, IAM, DSPM, Encryption, and Information Protection technologies.
  • Experience supporting pre-sales activities and client pursuits.
  • Exposure to project leadership and team mentoring activities
