Job Purpose
EY is seeking a Senior Technical Lead – Data Platform to lead the design, build, and evolution of enterprise-grade data and analytics solutions. This role combines solution ownership and hands-on technical leadership, with a primary focus on Microsoft Fabric and Azure data platform, while enabling integrated analytics and automation use cases.
You will own architecture decisions within your domain, partner closely with business and product stakeholders, and grow to lead a team of 5+ developers delivering scalable, secure solutions.
Key Role and Responsibilities
This Senior Technical Lead – Data Platform will be responsible for delivering scalable, secure, and high‑quality data engineering solutions to meet exceptional client and internal stakeholder expectations. Standard responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Platform Architecture And Technical Leadership
- Own end-to-end architecture for data and analytics solutions built on Microsoft Fabric and Azure Data Platform
- Translate business needs into high-quality, scalable solution designs (HLDs / LLDs) and roadmaps
- Own key architecture decisions and technology choices within the domain
- Balance speed of delivery with strong engineering, security and data practices, aligning with the requirements of our business stakeholders
Hands-on Delivery And Solution Leadership
- Act as a hands-on technical lead, contributing to critical components, complex builds, and proof-of-concepts
- Guide development teams on implementation approaches, design patterns, and best practices
- Ensure solutions are production-ready, performant and maintainable
Microsoft Fabric And Azure Data (Core Focus)
- Architect and deliver solutions using:
- Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse, pipelines, semantic models)
- Azure Data Factory and orchestration patterns
- Azure data storage (Data Lake, SQL, Blob)
- Define and implement data modeling, performance optimization, and monitoring practices
Integration And Analytics Enablement
- Design secure, reusable integration patterns (REST APIs, connectors)
- Enable downstream analytics and reporting (Power BI / Fabric)
- Support integration of data platform with broader enterprise tools where needed
ASP.NET and SharePoint
- Architect and deliver solutions using:
- ASP.NET
- SharePoint
- PowerApps / PowerAutomate
- Define and implement data modeling, performance optimization, and monitoring practices
Governance, Quality And Delivery Practices
- Define and enforce patterns within owned solutions for:
- Security
- Scalability
- Performance
- Cost optimization
- Drive adoption of DevOps and CI/CD practices within delivery teams
- Conduct architecture, design and code reviews to ensure quality and consistency
Stakeholder Partnership And Team Growth
- Partner closely with product owners, business stakeholders, and enterprise architecture
- Provide clear solution options, trade-offs and recommendations aligned to outcomes
- Develop the leadership skills to lead a team of 5+ developers, mentoring engineers and building team capability

Qualifications, Experience and Skills
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related discipline
Experience
- 10–15 years of overall IT experience across data and analytics
- 3–5 years in a senior technical lead or architect capacity
- Proven experience delivering Microsoft Fabric and/or Azure-based data platforms
- Experience designing and implementing scalable, secure data solutions
- Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration skills
- Track record of working directly with business stakeholders and product teams
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to document technical designs, data models, and engineering workflows
- Ability to manage ambiguity, shifting priorities, and complex data landscapes
Technical Skills/Competencies
- Strong expertise in Microsoft Fabric (Azure Data Factory, Databricks), ASP.Net and SharePoint\PowerApps
- Advanced SQL and data modeling skills
- Experience with Azure storage patterns (Data Lake, SQL, Blob)
Ideally, you’ll possess skills to:
- Demonstrate exposure to Power BI / analytics consumption layers
- Demonstrate experience with integration patterns (APIs, connectors)
- Demonstrate exposure to modern analytics patterns (e.g., Fabric evolution, Databricks)
- Demonstrate experience with SharePoint Framework (SPFx) for developing custom web parts, extensions, and modern SharePoint solutions
- Integrate with Microsoft 365 and business applications (Teams, SharePoint, Dataverse/Dynamics 365) using standard connectors and API-led patterns
- Leverage Microsoft Graph and M365 extensibility to integrate identity, users, files, calendars and collaboration signals into analytics solutions
- Implement event-driven and streaming integrations where applicable (Event Hubs, Kafka patterns) to support near real-time analytics
- Define integration security standards (OAuth2, managed identities, Key Vault), data access controls, and auditing aligned with enterprise policies
- Standardize data interchange and contracts (JSON/Parquet/Delta, schema evolution, data validation) to reduce coupling and rework
- Enable automation and workflow integration using Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps) and Azure integration services (Logic Apps, Functions) to operationalize data-driven processes, alerts and approvals in Teams
