The opportunity
We are looking for a Senior M365 & Power Platform Engineer who serves as the expert escalation point for complex issues, platform architecture, governance, and automation. You will drive deep diagnostics, implement enterprise level configurations, lead service improvements, and provide expert level Power Platform support across environment governance, Dataverse, performance, and complex flow failures
Your key responsibilities
- Responsible for decision-making, optimizing processes, resource management, and overseeing team management as needed for task execution.
- Accountable for allocating personnel, supervising team members, assigning tasks, ensuring that the team has the necessary tools and support to succeed in their roles and optimizing and evaluating their performance to meet organizational goals.
- M365
- Lead complex RCA and deliver permanent fixes across Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams.
- Design and enforce governance, compliance, and security frameworks aligned to enterprise standards.
- Build advanced PowerShell automation for large‑scale admin, reporting, and operations.
- Own Conditional Access, DLP, retention, sensitivity labels, and tenant‑wide security/compliance policies.
- Architect and implement platform enhancements across Exchange, SharePoint, and Teams.
- Partner with architects/service owners on solution design and platform decisions.
- Mentor L1/L2 teams; uplift capability through documentation and knowledge sharing.
- Power Platform
- Resolve advanced Power Automate issues (custom connectors, throttling, complex dependencies).
- Diagnose Dataverse role conflicts, schema issues, capacity constraints, and environment blockers.
- Optimize Power Apps for performance, security, and governance.
- Support CoE initiatives, DLP policies, and ALM/solution lifecycle processes.
- Provide architectural guidance on environment strategy and data design.
- Implement automation/monitoring to improve reliability and visibility.
Skills and attributes for success
- Deep knowledge of Microsoft 365 architecture & integrations, enabling expert cross‑service troubleshooting.
- Expert administration of Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Teams, and Purview (Security & Compliance).
- Strong Power Platform expertise — Power Apps, Power Automate, and Dataverse, including cross‑service troubleshooting and governance awareness.
- Advanced PowerShell & Microsoft Graph automation for reporting, governance, and large‑scale administration.
- Strong Entra ID (Azure AD): Conditional Access, MFA, identity governance, authentication flows, and hybrid concepts.
- Proven RCA leadership, stakeholder management, and clear executive‑level communication.
- Proficient with audit/sign‑in logs, Message Trace, CQD/Call Analytics, and health/performance diagnostics.
- Coaching mindset — able to mentor L1/L2 teams and drive process and operational excellence.
To qualify for the role, you must have
- 4–6 years of deep, hands on enterprise administration of Microsoft 365.
- Expert level experience in security, governance, compliance, and tenant architecture.
- Strong Power Platform administration (Dataverse troubleshooting, complex flow debugging, governance).
- Experience operating in a 24×7 rotational support model.
- Demonstrated ability to lead RCA, architect improvements, and guide teams through complex scenarios.
Technologies and Tools
Must have:
- M365 Core: Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Teams (admin + deep troubleshooting)
- Security & Compliance: Purview, DLP, retention, sensitivity labels, eDiscovery/audit
- Identity: Entra ID (Conditional Access, MFA, identity governance, auth flows; hybrid aware)
- Automation: Advanced PowerShell + Microsoft Graph (large‑scale admin, reporting, governance)
- Power Platform: Power Automate (triggers/connectors/run history), Power Apps (RBAC/connectors), Dataverse (roles/permissions/connection refs)
- Ops & RCA: Service health, Message Trace, CQD/Call Analytics, sign‑in logs; ITSM (ServiceNow)
- Architecture & Governance: Tenant standards, DLP policies, environment strategy, change control
- Communication: Clear stakeholder updates; strong documentation discipline
- Certifications: MS‑102 (Microsoft 365 Administrator) and one Power Platform cert (PL‑200 or PL‑400)
Good to have:
- Security: Defender for M365; Zero Trust foundations
- Identity/Hybrid: AAD Connect / Cloud Sync; Exchange Hybrid
- Automation: PnP PowerShell, Azure Automation/Runbooks; Graph SDK depth
- Monitoring/Analytics: CQD deep dives; basic KQL in Log Analytics
- Power Platform Governance: CoE, DLP policies, ALM (solutions), performance tuning
- APIs & Integration: REST/JSON, custom connectors
- Certifications: SC 300/SC 400, PL 200/PL 400, MS 700 (nice to have)
