Global Delivery Services refers to EY's worldwide network of service delivery centers. The GDS team plays an important role in EY’s strategy by ensuring effective support to EY’s growth agenda.

The Opportunity:

 

As a Senior Resource Analyst (L2), you will play a key role in driving data analysis, reporting, and process optimization within the resourcing team. Your primary responsibility will be to develop and maintain real-time dashboards, automate reporting processes, and provide actionable insights into resource utilization, capacity planning, and workforce performance metrics. You will also take ownership of driving operational efficiency or reporting and analytics suites across the SL you are aligned.

 

 

Your Key Responsibilities:

 

Data Analysis & Reporting:

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance real-time dashboards and reports on resource utilization, capacity planning, and performance metrics to support resourcing teams.
  • Use Power BI and advanced Excel functions to automate reporting and provide insightful data analysis to leadership.
  • Analyse trends, identify patterns, and provide actionable recommendations for improvements in resource allocation and planning.
  • Ensure that all reports and data are delivered in the right format and are aligned with business needs.

 

Process Optimization & Automation:

  • Identify inefficiencies within the current reporting and resource management processes and propose solutions for automation using VBA, Power Query, and macros.
  • Drive automation initiatives to reduce manual effort and increase reporting accuracy and efficiency.
  • Continuously improve resource management workflows to enhance scalability, reduce turnaround time, and ensure effectiveness.

 

Leadership & Ownership:

  • Take ownership of key deliverables, including streamlining non-audit assurance reports and developing advanced dashboards (e.g., RVA trends dashboard).
  • Proactively manage deliverables and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines while balancing current workload and additional responsibilities.
  • Provide insights and suggest enhancements to existing processes, tools, and reporting methods.
  • Responsible for decision-making, optimizing processes, resource management, and overseeing team management as needed for task execution.
  • Accountable for allocating personnel, supervising team members, assigning tasks, ensuring that the team has the necessary tools and support to succeed in their roles and optimizing and evaluating their performance to meet organizational goals.

 

Collaboration & Innovation:

  • Collaborate with resourcing and operational teams to ensure reporting and data needs are met in alignment with organizational goals.
  • Contribute to the development of innovative tools and solutions to enhance workforce planning, resource allocation, and operational efficiency.

 

 

Skills and attributes for success:

 

Technical Proficiency:

  • Strong expertise in Power BI for developing dashboards, reports, and analytics.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and advanced functions.
  • Experience with VBA, Power Query, and macros for process automation.
  • Familiarity with resource management tools such as Retain (or similar resource planning software).

 

Problem-Solving & Analytical Thinking:

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with a focus on identifying inefficiencies and proposing actionable improvements.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines while ensuring high-quality deliverables.

 

Communication & Ownership:

  • Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical teams.
  • Ability to take ownership of tasks, work independently, and drive deliverables with minimal supervision.

 

 

Ideally, you’ll also:

 

  • Expertise in data analytics and reporting tools such as Power BI and Excel.
  • A problem-solving mindset with a passion for continuous improvement and automation.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple projects and deadlines.
