The opportunity
Join our dynamic Global Payroll Operations team and play a vital role in driving the success of our expanding Global Reporting, Payments, and Regulatory initiatives! Your contributions will be essential in shaping our future and enhancing our global impact.
Our Global Payroll Operate practice focuses on helping our clients effectively manage their global payroll needs proactively and responsibly in 150+ countries. Our quality service and technical network enable you to help clients transform their global payroll functions, by reducing inefficiencies, mitigating risk and driving process improvement across the payroll functions. We believe that by managing clients’ payroll obligations, we can make a critical difference, and you’ll be at the heart of this mission.
Our market-leading approach combines extensive local payroll service experience with a standard global payroll compliance and implementation methodology. With engagements involving a few countries or many, you will have the opportunity to provide clients with an integrated, consistent, quality service that unlocks the potential of the payroll function across the entire process.
The Global Reporting, Payments and Regulatory team is dedicated to excelling in the delivery of innovative payroll reporting technology solutions (DigiPay Cloud and PCC Global Reporting) that not only meet but exceed global standards and cater to specific client requirements. We are committed to developing a standardized General Ledger (GL) solution alongside a robust, customized GL offering. The team manages payroll regulatory tasks and contributes to payment solution developments.
Job purpose: The purpose of this role is to facilitate the implementation of global reporting and support ongoing General Ledger delivery activities while ensuring effective coordination among internal teams. Additionally, the position serves as a subject matter expert in payroll regulations, gathering and analyzing data to drive process improvements and enhance business development initiatives.
Your key responsibilities
- Client-Facing Activities:
- Support for implementation of global reporting.
- Support for BAU General Ledger delivery activities.
- Internal Coordination Activities:
- Coordination of global reporting best practices and methodologies with internal teams (e.g., Client Operations teams regarding sales, Tech Operations teams for implementation, and Learning and Development teams for training design).
- Project management support and participation in business development initiatives.
- Change management activities related to process improvements.
- Regulatory Expertise (Subject Matter Expert):
- Gathering payroll regulatory data from Country Payroll Processing teams, analyzing it, and ensuring regular updates.
- Maintaining communication with Country Payroll Processing teams.
- Providing data for the PKA (global payroll chatbot) and Ebury PCubed (payment solution service development)
Leadership & Delivery
- 7+ years of payroll transformation, payroll operations, and delivery experience
- Multi-country payroll implementation experience (APAC, EMEA, ANZ, Africa)
Payroll Technology
- Payroll technology consulting and delivery experience
- Exposure to CIPP for one or more countries (optional)
- SuccessFactors and Workday integrations
- Payroll solution architecture, data migration, and systems integration
- UAT, testing, and production support
- Payroll operating model design
- Payroll modernization, automation, and AI adoption
Process Excellence
- Six Sigma and continuous improvement methodologies (optional)
- Automation and transformation initiatives (payroll and Tax domain)
- Process standardization and optimization (payroll and tax)
Additional Qualifications and experience
- Advanced Excel Skills: Proficient in analyzing large datasets and creating pivot tables.
- Payroll Service Knowledge: Familiarity with G2N (Gross to Net) reports and pay codes.
- General Ledger (GL) Expertise: Understanding of General Ledger.
- DigiPay Proficiency: Knowledge of DigiPay system.
- Synthesis Skills: Ability to comprehend incoming requests, translate them into actionable tasks, and communicate effectively with internal project teams.
- Project Management Skills: Experience in building trackers and following up on task lists with stakeholders.
- Organizational Skills: Highly structured and organized approach to work.
- Adaptability: Strong ability to adapt to changing environments and requirements.
Additional skills and attributes for success
- Excel Macro Development Skills: Proficient in writing and implementing Excel macros to automate tasks and enhance efficiency.
