Global Delivery Services refers to EY's worldwide network of service delivery centers. The GDS team plays an important role in EY’s strategy by ensuring effective support to EY’s growth agenda.

The Opportunity

Your Key Responsibilities

 

  • Lead the end-to-end fund accounting process for multiple private credit funds, ensuring timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual closes.
  • Oversee accounting for complex private credit transactions, including loan originations, repayments, PIK interest, coupon interest, OID amortization, commitment fees, restructuring events, and realized/unrealized gains or losses.
  • Review and approve journal entries, general ledger reconciliations, investment accounting, and supporting schedules.
  • Oversee Net Asset Value (NAV) calculations and ensure compliance with fund governing documents and accounting policies.
  • Review investor allocations, capital account statements, capital calls, distributions, equalization, and carried interest calculations where applicable.
  • Ensure timely preparation and review of financial statements, investor reporting packages, and regulatory reporting deliverables.
  • Establish and maintain robust internal controls over fund accounting processes.
  • Drive process optimization, automation, and standardization initiatives to improve operational efficiency and scalability.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), service level agreements (SLAs), and reporting timelines.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of fund accountants through coaching, training, and performance management.
  • Review work completed by team members to ensure quality, accuracy, and adherence to established procedures.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.

 

Skills and attributes for success

  • Master’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance. Professional qualification such as CA, CPA is preferred.
  • Minimum 9 years of experience in private credit fund accounting, private equity fund accounting, fund administration, or alternative investment operations.
  • Demonstrated experience managing teams
  • Strong understanding of private credit products, including direct lending, senior secured loans, mezzanine debt, unitranche facilities, syndicated loans, and structured credit.
  • In-depth knowledge of fund accounting principles, investment accounting, NAV calculations, investor allocations, and financial reporting.
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP and/or IFRS applicable to alternative investment funds.
  • Experience working with fund accounting platforms such as SS&C Geneva, Investran, Allvue, eFront, or equivalent systems.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with strong analytical and reconciliation capabilities
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with experience interacting with senior stakeholders.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrates ownership, accountability, sound judgment, and a continuous improvement mindset.
