In collaboration with the Institute for Law and Economics (ILE) at the University of St.Gallen, EY Switzerland is excited to offer a unique dual role as a Tax Knowledge Manager at EY and Ph.D. candidate at the ILE.
This position allows you taking over the tax knowledge management within EY Switzerland and start you career in a highly international and dynamic tax consulting practice while pursuing a Ph.D. in Management (PMA) or Law (DLS) at the University of St.Gallen, focusing on taxation at the same time.
Your key responsibilities
- Creating tax technical content such as articles, tax alerts, case law summaries, and presentations
- Creating tax content for marketing purposes in newsletters, sample client emails etc
- Organizing and leading internal knowledge-sharing calls
- Collaborating with teams across Switzerland on various relevant tax issues
- Maintaining our internal knowledge database
- Assisting with event management for major EY tax events as well as supporting EY tax professionals with speaking engagements at various tax seminars
- Gaining first insights and experience into client work by participating in select projects
This role offers unparalleled insights into the latest developments in Swiss and international taxation and the chance to collaborate with various tax professionals on a wide range of tax topics across the tax service lines of EY Switzerland and the international EY Network
Skills and attributes for success
- A completed master’s degree in Law, Law and Economics, or Business Administration from a recognized university (candidates in the later semesters of a Master’s degree may also apply for the knowledge management position)
- Fulfillment of the University of St.Gallen's Ph.D. program requirements (minimum average grade of 5.0 at the master's level)
- A keen interest in tax technical topics
- Strong writing skills, capable of creating clear and engaging content for different purposes and ability to research thoroughly and reflect findings in written work
- Good organizational skills, comfortable with juggling various tasks and readiness to tackle challenges proactively
- Self-motivation and initiative
- Proficiency in English and at least one of Switzerland's national languages (German, French, or Italian)

The future employee will occupy a part-time role, operating at 50% capacity, offering a flexible schedule to support the pursuit of a Ph.D. education.
