Senior Manager - Technology Consulting - AI & Data

The opportunity

In this role you will be part of our Technology Consulting business and collaboratively work on challenging Data management and governance projects for our clients while using the latest technologies.

Our Consulting business offers a broad range of functional and cross-country services dedicated to providing high-value and trusted advice to clients, with a specific focus on business transformation programs. We provide seamless, consistent, and high-quality services to our clients around the world. Our teams work collaboratively with our clients to deliver all aspects from design to delivery of data strategy, analytics and insight generating solutions.

Your key responsibilities

• Lead business development and go-to-market activities for AI & Data services in Switzerland, building and maintaining senior client relationships, identifying new opportunities, and leading proposal development and sales pursuits.
• Proven track record independently driving multimillion AI & Data sales.  
• Extensive client network and market recognition.
• Advise C-level stakeholders on Data & AI transformation strategies, helping clients define and implement enterprise-wide AI roadmaps that deliver measurable business value.
• Lead the design and delivery of innovative AI solutions, with a focus on Agentic AI, Generative AI, AI Factories, intelligent automation, and data-driven operating models.
• Drive large-scale transformation programs across strategy, governance, operating models, data platforms, and AI adoption, ensuring sustainable business outcomes.
• Oversee multidisciplinary project teams and provide leadership throughout the full project lifecycle, ensuring high-quality delivery, scalability, security, and regulatory compliance.
• Act as a trusted advisor to clients, helping them unlock value from data, modernize their technology landscape, and accelerate AI adoption.
• Contribute to the growth and development of the EY AI & Data practice through thought leadership, mentoring, coaching, talent development, and knowledge sharing.
• Collaborate with local and global EY teams to bring innovative solutions and leading practices to clients. 

Skills and attributes for success 

• Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Natural Sciences, Business Analytics, or a related field.
• Proven track record of independently generating sales of more than 3 Mio.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build credibility and act as a trusted advisor to C-level executives and senior business and technology leaders.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with strong commercial acumen, strategic thinking, and a passion for innovation and emerging technologies.
• Established network of senior decision-makers and proven ability to leverage relationships to originate opportunities, develop strategic accounts and drive revenue growth.
• Proven track record in business development, sales, and account growth, including identifying opportunities, leading proposals, developing client relationships, and closing complex consulting engagements.
• Deep understanding of AI technologies and trends, including Generative AI, Agentic AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), Machine Learning, AI governance, and enterprise AI adoption.
• Experience in establishing and scaling AI Factories and operating models that enable organizations to industrialize AI capabilities and accelerate value creation.
• Strong knowledge of modern data platforms, data architecture, cloud ecosystems (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud), and AI solution implementation.
• Demonstrated leadership experience in managing multidisciplinary teams, coaching professionals, and driving high-performing delivery organizations.
• Full professional proficiency in English; German and/or French would be considered a strong asset.
• Willingness to travel within Switzerland and neighboring countries and occasionally internationally to support client engagements and business development activities.
