The opportunity
Our Europe West Financial Services Tax (EW FS Tax) team in Zurich advises leading Swiss and international asset managers, fund houses and financial institutions on the full spectrum of taxation.
As part of our growing Swiss Fund Tax Reporting practice, you will take ownership of engagements – from the analysis of complex, multi-jurisdictional fund structures through to the delivery of investor tax figures that meet the requirements of the Swiss Federal Tax Administration (SFTA/ESTV).
This role offers client exposure, technical depth, and clear career progression. As a Senior Consultant, you will further develop your fund tax expertise, support and coach junior team members, and contribute to the continued growth and success of our practice.
Your key responsibilities
- Preparing and reviewing Swiss income tax figures for investment funds (including the Swiss taxable income per unit)
- Coordinating with our EY partner offices, clients and fund administrators to obtain, validate and reconcile the data required for accurate tax reporting
- Managing the reporting process end-to-end: planning timelines, monitoring deadlines and ensuring high-quality, on-time delivery to clients and the SFTA
- Acting as a trusted point of contact for clients on Swiss fund tax reporting matters
- Contributing to the continuous improvement and automation of our reporting processes and tools
Skills and attributes for success
- A university degree (bachelor or master) in law, economics, business administration, finance or a comparable field
- 3-5 years of experience in taxation, ideally gained within a Big4 firm, asset manager, fund administration or tax advisory environment
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills and a confident command of MS Excel; experience in data analytics or automation is considered as an advantage
- Ability to translate complex tax and regulatory requirements into clear, practical solutions for clients
- Full professional proficiency in English (spoken and written); German is an advantage
- Excellent communication skills combined with a structured, analytical, and detail-oriented mindset, a strong sense of ownership, and a commitment to delivering high-quality results
- A collaborative, team-oriented mindset and the drive to keep learning in a fast-moving field
- Keen interest in process optimization, automation, and digital transformation such as AI implementation
