The Job Opportunity

 

  • Become part of Business Consulting Finance and work within a young, dynamic, and multicultural team advising the CFO function of national and international clients in the areas of Digital Finance, Corporate Transformation, Enterprise Performance Management and Global Business Services (GBS)
  • Be part of the Order to Cash solution tower, incl. team management, solution development and transformation
  • Support in all aspects the Order to Cash stream to simplify and standardize global processes within client organizations by eliminating unnecessary complexities and low-value work
  • Support other Finance Transformation projects that touch the Order to Cash tower (Supply Chain, GBS) and ad-hoc internal Order to Cash projects
  • Partnering with the Business Consulting Technology team and act as an Order to Cash SME to provide functional requirements and solution design inputs on Technology driven projects
  • Take responsibility for the preparation of the Order to Cash presentations and analysis
  • Drive the execution of entity-wide transformation programs, from Target Operating Model design, built and execution, Process Re-Design and implementation, Transition plans and Technology architecture design and implementation
  • Prepare benchmark analyses to optimize Order to Cash sub-processes and the corresponding organizational structures
  • Design and implement back-office sourcing models and outsourcing partnerships for back-office process structures
  • Proactively manage and maintain client relationships and stay closely connected with industry thought leaders
  • Actively shape and propose new solutions that reflect the latest Order to Cash market trends and adapt them to client needs
  • Support the Order to Cash and Business Consulting Finance colleagues by educating them with necessary training of the Order to Cash processes (new or refresher) and developing corresponding material
  • Supporting fellow finance process Managers/ Senior Managers and executive leadership in performance assessments by providing relevant feedback when and as requested
  • Responsibility for people development within the team, e.g. guide junior colleagues in their work and play a role in upskilling the team

Skills and attributes for success – To qualify for the role you must have

 

  • Successfully completed studies in economics, finance or a comparable course of study
  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience, including a minimum of 5 years Consulting experience in a fellow Big 4 company and also min. 5 years of Order to Cash experience in Consulting, GBS/ BPO Operations or RPO role

The scope of your experience should cover:

    • Clear understanding of the CFO function within an organization
    • Deep understanding of the back-office centralization of transactional- and value-add activities across Centers of Excellence (CoEs) and Shared Service Centers (SSCs)
    • Good understanding of the BPO landscape, commercial approach, outsourcing best practices and potential for all Order to Cash sub-processes across multiple industries
    • Project experience in the standardization, digitalization and automation of the Order to Cash process
    • Design experience and exposure with various Target Operating Models in the context of GBS and the business partner role of finance
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and rigorous working methods
  • High motivation, objective driven and entrepreneurial mindset
  • Experience in sales activities, e.g. proposal creation / business development, and understanding of business metrics
  • Empathetic personality, excellent team leadership skills and enjoy working in a collaborative and inclusive environment
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and German are mandatory, further languages are a plus
  • Willingness to travel
