Our Technology Risk team has many specialists who offer our clients, renowned banks and financial institutions, audit and advisory services on issues related to the assessment and management of IT risks, as well as data security and confidentiality.

As a Junior Assistant in Technology Risk alongside your studies, you are embarking on an exciting journey into the world of organizations in context of information technology, eager to learn and apply your growing knowledge across various national and international financial institutions. As a collaborative team member, you thrive in both physical and virtual environments, working closely with inspiring colleagues both locally and globally. You are beginning to navigate the network, supporting Assistants, Seniors, Managers and Partners in executing assignments with efficiency and effectiveness. Under the guidance of experienced professionals, you are building your expertise and growing step by step in your role. Your key responsibilities

  • Support the team in the examination of IT control of various financial institutions in a highly regulated environment (e.g. FINMA-supervised banks and insurance companies), within the scope of  specific IT audits and/or IT advisory engagements  IT General Controls review, IT audits based on regulatory or group-wide requirements, IT audit projects on client request, IT Due Diligence projects, SOCR framework audits or other third-party assurance engagements)
  • Support with performing audit procedures to ensure they meet the audit objectives, learning the importance of each step
  • Help with the documentation of audit projects, ensuring timeliness and compliance with the audit standards including our global audit methodology and best practices under the guidance of experienced colleagues
  • Use of data-driven audit tools and analytics solutions (e.g. EY Helix), along with first exposure to topics such as cloud, SAP and artificial intelligence, to make IT audits more efficient and insightful
  • Contribution to the preparation of audit reports that are presented to clients and other parties
  • Collaborate with the audit team, maintaining open lines of communication, and keeping senior team members informed about the progress of assignments
  • Engage in an educational program to continuously develop your personal skills and grow your knowledge base in IT auditing

 

What we look for

  • You are at the beginning or in the middle of your Bachelor's studies in (business) informatics, business administration or a comparable field of study (university/university of applied sciences).   • Interest in current developments in the financial services sector as well as in regulatory topics (e.g. FINMA)
