The Opportunity

Within Financial Services Consulting, the Risk team covers a broad range of functions dedicated to providing high-value, trusted audit and advisory services to clients. As part of the Risk team, the Governance, Risk & Controls (GRC) team works with diverse financial services companies that range from major global investment banks to insurance companies and specialized private and regional banks. We support our clients with tailored solutions in the identification, assessment and monitoring of risks as well as with our expertise in implementing and meeting regulatory requirements in the field of risk management. Additionally, we provide internal and external audit services, comprehensively covering all processes across the business model of our clients.

As part of our team, you will:

• Be able to apply your knowledge in banking and insurance products, risk management, and audit topics
• Actively participate advisory projects with a focus on regulatory and supervisory matters
• Structure and analyze complex business problems
• Perform targeted regulatory audits for our clients in the finance industry in coordination with relevant regulators (primarily FINMA)
• Be encouraged to investigate new risk areas (e.g., ESG and sustainable finance, data analytics)
• Work closely together with our clients and deliver world-class consulting solutions within the financial industry in non-financial risk areas such as operational, compliance or regulatory risk

What you should bring to the table

• Bachelor's or advanced graduate university degree (Master’s, MBA, PhD) in Finance, Economics, Accounting, any other business-related field, or law
• A basic understanding of financial services risk management and regulatory topics (including the Basel framework and FINMA circulars) and interest in specializing in these topics
• Motivation, flexibility and self-drive to constantly learn and acquire new skills and knowledge
• Fluency in German and English are a pre-requisite, with French as an added advantage

Ideally, you’ll also have

• First experiences in financial services, consulting, or audit, preferably with a focus on risk management
• Practical knowledge in financial services risk management (e.g. operational, compliance or regulatory risk), an entrepreneurial mindset and motivation to participate in business development activities such as responding to requests for proposals and go-to-market activities
