Within EY-P, our Strategy&Execution group provides a full range of strategic consulting services including corporate and growth strategy, M&A integrations, separations, transformations, Private Equity value creation, Operational/HR/IT Due Diligence, and Operational Restructuring. Our Strategy&Execution team works cross-functionally and across the entire transaction lifecycle. Your key responsibilities

  • In your role as Consultant, you will engage in a diverse array of strategy projects, including portfolio strategy, go-to market models, market access & pricing, health equity & sustainability, healthcare system transformation initiatives etc.
  • You will also work on integrations, carve-outs, corporate restructuring and other types of M&A transactional engagements in project teams directly with our clients;
  • Support a wide range of strategy and M&A transactional topics;
  • Identify, and oftentimes implement, innovative solutions for complex client challenges;
  • Support business development through developing intellectual property, proposal documents and attending sales pitches;
  • Gather and analyze information, and provide recommendations to team members and clients;
  • Collaborate with clients on planning and executing strategy and M&A deal life cycle workstreams;
  • You will help build an open and inclusive work environment and support to maintain professional relationship with our clients.

 

Skills and attributes for success

  • A completed business or STEM degree. Background in life sciences advantageous;
  • At least 1 year of post-graduate industry and/or consulting experience, ideally within the commercial strategy and M&A space;
  • Sharp analytical thinking and exceptional problem-solving skills in academic, professional and extracurricular settings;
  • Excellent skills in PowerPoint for building presentations and proficiency in Excel for data analysis and management;
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills, both verbally and in writing, in English. Additional fluency in German, French and/or Italian advantageous;
  • Client-oriented attitude and desire to make an impact;
  • Readiness to learn and develop new skills;
  • Interest in the Life Sciences sector, commitment to expanding knowledge and understanding of both business-related and scientific nuances within the Life Sciences field;
  • Curious mindset with a willingness to work on a variety of topics, demonstrating adaptability and openness to new challenges;
  • Creative thinker and self-starter who can generate innovative ideas and take initiative in tasks/projects;
  • Strong team player mentality to proactively drive solutions within highly motivated and diverse teams across functions, countries and regions;
  • Hard-working individual with an ambitious mindset, dedicated to achieving high-quality results;
  • Diligent ad detail-oriented approach to work, ensuring accuracy and thoroughness in all tasks;
  • Demonstrates resilience and the ability to perform under pressure, maintaining composure and focus in challenging situations.

  • (Strategy) Corporate/Business Unit/Digital Business Building, Commercial/Customer Strategy, Operations Strategy/Supply Chain, Corporate Due Diligence, Operational Due Diligence, Economic Advisory;

  • (Operations) Working Capital, Transaction Tech, Deal Management & Execution, Deal HR, Value Creation/Cost Takeout, IT/Tech/Cybersecurity Due Diligence.
