The opportunity

The EY Business Consulting team offers a broad range of functional and cross-country services dedicated to providing trusted advice to clients in the Financial Services industry across Wealth & Asset Management (WAM), Banking and Capital Markets (BCM) and Insurance sectors. The Financial Services industry is experiencing tremendous change in its technology landscape. This is an exciting time to join an evolving team and help our clients navigate the changing market and add value to their clients. As a Consultant in our Transformation Execution Practice, you will support challenging transformation in WAM, BCM and insurance initiatives related to technology and design, plan, and deliver technology-enabled solutions for our clients.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Pursuing challenging business-led, tech-enabled transformation initiatives across the financial services sector
• Collaborating with key stakeholders, business partners, and multi-disciplinary teams to help shape ideas, design solutions and deliver measurable, sustainable improvements in business performance
• Applying storytelling skills and presenting recommendations to our clients in a clear and analytical manner
• Leveraging and further developing our global EY methodologies, frameworks, tools, accelerators, and enablers for a range of transformation goals
• Facilitating internal- and external topic roundtables and thought leadership sessions
• Co-hosting events & preparing targeted client communications
• Supporting go-to-market and business development initiatives to continuously provide valuable solutions for our clients

Skills And Attributes For Success

• You have fresh ideas, an innovative mind and have a strong desire to structure and solve problems
• You have a strong interest in the Financial Services Industry and have already gained prior work experience
• Bachelor’s or advanced graduate university degree (Master’s, MBA, PhD) in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics), with evidence of excellent academic achievement
• Have an affinity to technology and a good technical understanding
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Fluency in English and German, any other language is a plus

Ideally you will also have:

• Experience in consulting and / or Financial Services (e.g., internship, working student)
• Experience and /or interest in business analysis and requirements engineering
• Experience and / or interest in any of the following topics: Automation, Data Analytics, AI, Blockchain;
