The Cybersecurity and Business Resilience team is a rapidly growing team of diverse and passionate consultants striving to make a meaningful impact for our clients. As part of Technology Consulting, the team works across the broader consulting practice at EY to bring together key business and technology concepts to enable our clients to meet their strategic, tactical, and operational objectives.

EY’s Business Resilience Team is part of Technology Consulting’s overarching Cybersecurity Team. A willingness to learn cyber topics and to support cyber projects, as required, is expected.

 

The opportunity

As a Business Resilience Consultant, you will gain key insights into how EY supports our clients to further the continuity of their mission critical operations and services in the event of a disruption. You will act as an advisor to senior stakeholders in an effort to prevent, respond to, adapt to, and recover from disruptive scenarios (e.g. pandemic, cyber event, technology failure, natural disaster, etc.). This enables our clients to minimize severe impacts that could compromise their financial standing, reputation, customers, and operations. Your key responsibilities

  • Increase familiarity with key Business Resilience topics, such as business continuity, disaster recovery, crisis management, and incident response
  • Assist our clients in understanding their threat landscape and the current risks to their operations, including single points of failure that could lead to a disruption or crisis
  • Identify risk mitigation opportunities to help client’s make their processes more resilient and less susceptible to disruptive events
  • Conduct assessments of the client’s existing Business Resilience capability in order to identify areas for improvement and gaps against industry benchmarks, regulations, and leading practices
  • Design and implement Business Resilience frameworks, including underlying processes, templates, and tools
  • Actively participate and/or lead client workshops on the topic of Business Resilience

 

Skills and attributes for success

  • Degree (Bachelor or Master) in Business / Management, Business Information Technology, Engineering, or similar
  • A passion for advising and collaborating with clients to solve complex problems and a willingness to learn new topics (e.g. cyber, business continuity, disaster recovery, etc.)
  • Excellent written and verbal communications in English and German or French
  • Strong client services orientation and accustomed to taking a proactive role in engagements
  • Readiness for work assignments on site at our clients
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and an innovative spirit
  • Motivated, ambitious, and self-driven personality

 

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Initial exposures or experience to business resilience topics, potentially including business continuity, disaster recovery, crisis management, and/or incident response
