As an Operational Technology (OT) / Internet of Things (IoT) Security (Senior) Consultant, you will learn the essentials of Operational Technology and Internet of Things from the ground up, alongside experienced colleagues and understand how to secure manufacturing processes. We are looking for emerging and energetic talents who are excited to grow and develop in one of the most exciting and future-proof areas of cybersecurity. This role will give you the chance to work on cutting-edge projects, helping our clients enhance their OT security capabilitiesto enable future ambitions.

 

Your key responsibilities

  • Gain hands-on experience in assessing the OT security posture of clients to understand the threat landscape and identify gaps and risks compared to industry standards.
  • Support clients in determining their OT security maturity level and assist in creating a roadmap to elevate their OT security practices.
  • Learn to design and implement IT/OT architecture, ensuring the application of key security concepts such as network segmentation, security zone definitions, defense-in-depth and least privilege access.
  • Help clients enhance their OT security capabilities, focusing on asset management, vulnerability management, incident management and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
  • Participate in planning and conducting penetration tests for OT components, applications, web applications, networks, infrastructures and data centers.
  • Contribute to the design and development of multi-year manufacturing cyber programs and strategies for global production sites to increase their resilience against cyber-attacks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, engineering, and operations, to integrate OT security measures seamlessly into existing processes and workflows, ensuring minimal disruption to production activities.

 

Skills and attributes for success

  • Degree (Bachelor or Master) in Information Technology, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering with touchpoints to Cybersecurity topics, Business administration with an interest in IT and cybersecurity or equivalent education.
  • First experience with general cybersecurity frameworks such as ISO and NIST.
  • Familiarity with industrial standards like IEC 62443, NIST SP 800-82, and NERC CIP.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex systems and identify security vulnerabilities.
  • Communication and presentation skills, capable of conveying technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, engineering and operations.
  • Written and verbal communication skills in English, German and/or French is a plus.
  • Ideally: Knowledge and experience in designing, commissioning, or maintaining Industrial Control Systems (ICS), including SCADA, EMS, DCS, or PLC.
