The Opportunity

Join us to build something exceptional.

As part of EY’s Tax Accounting & Risk Advisory Services (TARAS) practice, you will operate at the intersection of tax and assurance: working like an auditor, grounded in tax law, and exposed to some of the most complex and internationally relevant topics in financial reporting.

You will work with leading national and international banks and insurance companies, helping them navigate increasingly complex tax reporting requirements, redesign their tax functions, and embrace transformation through technology and AI. No two engagements are the same, this is a role defined by variety, intellectual challenge, and real impact.

At EY, your development is intentional. We combine, responsibility with structured career progression, flexible working models, and fully supported professional education. You will grow not only as a technical expert, but also as a leader, shaping both client outcomes and the team around you.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a trusted advisor and central point of contact for clients and colleagues on complex direct tax accounting matters
  • Lead tax audits for international groups and Swiss entities, working closely with assurance teams and bringing together tax and audit perspectives
  • Support clients in transforming their tax functions, combining technical expertise with process, data, and technology-driven solutions
  • Develop deep expertise in areas such as BEPS Pillar 2 and assess implications for both audit and advisory engagements
  • Manage client portfolios end-to-end, including planning, delivery, and continuous improvement of processes and quality
  • Coach and develop team members, contributing to a high-performing, collaborative, and ambitious team culture

Skills and attributes for success

  • 5–7 years of experience in tax accounting, tax audit, or a comparable role, ideally in an international environment
  • Strong understanding of accounting and tax reporting (IFRS and/or US GAAP), with the ability to connect technical topics across disciplines
  • A structured, solution-oriented mindset combined with strong project management skills
  • Curiosity and openness to innovation, particularly in leveraging technology and AI in tax and reporting
  • A collaborative mindset and clear, confident communication style
  • Fluency in German and English
