The opportunity

As a Data Analyst in the Technology Transformation team in Financial Services, you will contribute to the growth of our Data Transformation practice. This is an exciting time to join an evolving team striving to drive data literacy and data transformation together with our clients. This role will give you a great foundation in how data is leveraged across value chain topics from both the business and from the technology point of view.


Your key responsibilities

  • Collaborating with key stakeholders, business partners, and client teams to understand business problems and the organizational set-up
  • Helping clients innovate through data-driven decisioning by querying and transforming data from diverse data sources to create source-of-truth datasets which enable better decision-making
  • Identifying unexplored data opportunities for the business to unlock and maximize the potential of digital data within the organization
  • Working with client teams to summarize and synthesize data and present recommendations to the businesses in a clear and logical manner
  • Applying and building storytelling skills to data analytics with BI tools (e.g., PowerBI, Tableau, Excel)
  • Supporting ongoing technology evaluation processes and proof of concept projects
  • Co-hosting events & preparing targeted client communications
  • Driving internal data topic roundtables and thought leadership sessions
  • Preparing, communicating, and presenting deliverables to our clients
  • Collaborating in highly dynamic and cross-functional teams


Skills and attributes for success

  • At least 1-3 years of experience as a data / business analyst or equivalent in identifying business processes and defining and implementing solutions
  • A passion for Information Technologies, Digital Innovation and Financial Services
  • A degree in Business Information Technology, Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration with a strong technology affinity, or equivalent
  • Fluency in German and English
  • Experience in scripting with SQL with a strong ability to write complex queries to extract information
  • Excellent hands-on experience with data quality, cleaning and preparation
  • Demonstrated ability to think beyond raw data and to understand the underlying business context and sense business opportunities hidden in data
  • Distinctive problem-solving skills and good business judgment
  • Excellent data reporting & visualization abilities
  • Strong written and oral communication skills; ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management and partners from a variety of business functions
  • Familiarity with cloud and data management trends, including open-source projects, and leading commercial vendors that relate to data acquisition and data management
