Senior Forensics Professional

The opportunity 

We are looking for an experienced advisor to join our dynamic Forensic department. If you are someone who enjoys exploring and solving complex cases of financial fraud and corruption, then this is the opportunity for you.

Your Key Responsibilities

In our forensic team at EY Croatia, there is no room for monotony, as each client brings unique challenges. As an experienced advisor, you will participate in diverse projects covering everything from regulatory compliance and corporate governance to risk analysis for abuse.

Your responsibility will include conducting forensic investigations of economic crime and, if necessary, working with clients' legal teams in dispute resolution. As an advisor to various organizations, you will play a key role in establishing and maintaining effective control mechanisms for managing risks associated with the prevention and detection of abuse.

You will work closely with other team members, together developing strategies that are in line with the highest standards and practices in forensic investigations as defined by ACFE. In addition, you will provide clients with expert advice in the field of risk management and abuse prevention, which will contribute to your professional advancement.

Skills and attributes for success

• A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in the field of forensic investigations, auditing, accounting, compliance, internal control, AML and CFT and/or risk management standards
• A higher education degree in accounting, finance, law, economics, business administration, or another relevant academic direction; a higher education degree in mathematics, computer science, and data science combined with professional experience in forensics is also appropriate
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in Croatian and English
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office programs with an emphasis on Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Understanding and experience with the analysis of accounting statements and financial information, processes, policies, and procedures
• Experience in data analytics and the use of analytical and AI tools is an advantage, as is knowledge in the field of abuse investigations

Ideally, you’ll also have

• Good prioritization, time management, and organization skills with overlapping projects
• Experience in team leadership and training colleagues
• Ability to adapt to new challenges and ideas
• Experience in providing professional services and market knowledge
• CFE/ACAMS/CIA/ACCA and/or other related qualifications
• Knowledge of foreign languages in addition to English (knowledge of the Slovenian language is an advantage)
