Job description

When our clients are striving to improve their financial statement closing process, and overall reporting or when there is a need to work on faster integration of the new business into existing one or need support with consolidation process, they seek our help.
We specialize in delivering high quality advisory services to a portfolio of clients, understanding the enterprise-wide view of business and financial reporting risks and how this risk can be effectively managed. We use state-of-the-art diagnostic tools to evaluate business processes and controls, and advanced technology in knowledge sharing.
The opportunity
Our Financial Accounting Advisory Services (FAAS) team is growing exponentially, and as a Senior you’ll play a key role in that growth. Responsibilities
The nature of this role means no two projects will be the same. That means you’ll need to challenge existing practices to develop answers to complex issues. You’ll also be collaborating with colleagues across multiple service lines, so we’ll look to you to build relationships and identify opportunities for our clients to benefit from our knowledge in other areas.
Your key responsibilities:
• Consulting with clients on complex accounting and financial reporting issues
• Collaborating with partners, senior managers, managers and clients to influence strategy, balancing risk and client expectations
• Building relationships with colleagues across multiple service lines to provide seamless integrated service
• Managing performance and identifying opportunities to improve our products and processes
• Assist clients to navigate through accounting changes by developing fit-to-purpose solutions and/or providing practical expedients
• Provide technical accounting services as part of complex transactions (M&A, IPO, Carve outs, etc.) or implementation of new business strategies under IFRS and local GAAP
• Support clients in the transformation of their finance, controlling and financial reporting functions through the review of governance structures, processes & controls in place and the identification of solutions and tools to introduce better practices and bring efficiencies
To qualify for the role you must have:
• A master's degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance or related discipline
• 3 to 5 years of working experience in relation to the following services/solutions:
• Implementation of new accounting standards
• Drafting and designing accounting policies
• Technical accounting research and advice
• Consolidation and Compilation support
• Financial statement close process support
• Transaction accounting and reporting – IPO’s, Carve Outs, PPA etc.
• Good understanding of IFRS and local GAAP
• Strong technical writing skills and risk management knowledge
• A proven record of excellence when managing, mentoring and improving a team of high-performing colleagues
• The confidence to research and resolve emerging client issues, including regulations, industry practices and new technologies
• Eager to learn and strive for excellence
• Ability to take initiatives with a team mindset
