VEMO Contracts Value Optimisation Lead (Microsoft)
Job description
VEMO Contracts Value Optimisation Lead (Microsoft)
Location: Wrocław / Katowice - 2 days in office / 3 days remote
Let us introduce you to the opportunity at EY GDS Poland, part of EY’s global integrated service delivery network.
The opportunity
As enterprise-wide suppliers become increasingly critical to EY’s transformation, growth and productivity agenda, EY is strengthening how it manages, governs and realises value from its most strategic technology contracts.
The VEMO Contracts Value Optimisation Lead will support post-deal commercial management of Microsoft, ensuring commitments, benefits, ECIF/investments, consumption trends and drawdown are visible, evidenced and translated into measurable value.
Working across Global Procurement, EY Technology, Finance, Legal and Alliance Management, the role provides commercial analysis, value tracking and governance support without owning alliance strategy, relationship management, GTM activation, sales pipeline, campaigns or partner investment strategy.
This is a collaborative enablement role requiring commercial curiosity, analytical rigour, disciplined delivery and strong stakeholder engagement. The successful candidate will help EY maximise value from one of its largest technology supplier contracts while supporting VEMO reporting, renewal planning and continuous improvement.
Your key responsibilities
Contract Value Realisation & Performance Management:
- Maintain a transparent view of Microsoft contract value, including benefits, commitments and eligible investments
- Track quantitative value, cost avoidance, optimisation, ECIF/investment drawdown and realised benefits
- Ensure expected benefits are achieved, evidenced and reported post-signature
- Maintain value dashboards, performance metrics and management information
- Identify value leakage, under-utilisation, duplication and cost optimisation opportunities, excluding sales or pipeline-growth activity
- Use automation, analytics and approved AI to improve efficiency, insight quality and outcomes
Commercial & Contract Value Management:
- Collaborate with Global Procurement, SRM, Member Firms, Regional Leaders, GCO, Finance, EY Technology, VEMO and Alliance Management on commercial analysis, renewals and optimisation
- Liaise with SRM to evaluate licence, consumption, entitlement, commercial, utilisation, compliance and value considerations
- Support business cases, options analysis, financial analysis and value assessments
- Monitor supplier commitments, obligations, benefits and ECIF/investment mechanisms across the contract lifecycle
- Provide evidence and scenarios to support negotiations and renewals led by accountable owners
ECIF & Investment Management Monitoring:
- Maintain visibility of ECIF and eligible investment commitments, drawdown, expiry dates, conditions, value outcomes and the general health of the contract, including progress against plan
- Track requests, approvals, utilisation, evidence, claims and realised benefits through the lifecycle
- Support disciplined governance, with clear owners, actions, decisions, risks and escalation routes
- Prepare regular monitoring updates on drawdown progress, issues, deadlines and delivered value
- Provide regular updates on investment priorities to the Alliance team to ensure visibility and maximise opportunities
- Provide analysis and evidence packs
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Act as an investment liaison across EY Technology, Global Procurement, Finance, Legal, VEMO, Alliance Management and Service Lines
- Build credible relationships with Finance, Global Procurement, EY Technology, Service Line, Regional and Alliance stakeholders
- Align these stakeholders on contract value, priorities, risks, dependencies and decisions
- Prepare concise, executive-ready materials, reports and recommendations
- Influence without direct authority while respecting accountabilities for alliance strategy, sales, GTM, pipeline, relationships and partner investment
Governance & Reporting:
- Support VEMO, Global Procurement and supplier governance with commercial inputs, decision papers, actions and value tracking
- Provide transparency on contract performance, risks, opportunities, commitments and value outcomes
- Produce accurate, complete and decision-ready management information and executive reporting
- Track actions, decisions, risks and value commitments through governance cycles
- Support audit, compliance, independence, supplier governance and ECIF/investment evidence requirements
Supplier Value Insight & Enablement:
- Maintain awareness of Microsoft commercial constructs, product roadmaps and market developments relevant to contract value
- Identify opportunities to improve utilisation, adoption insight and value capture, excluding sales, pipeline or GTM optimisation
- Support value discussions with data, evidence and commercial insight while Alliance Management retains alliance, sales and relationship ownership
- Contribute to continuous improvement of VEMO vendor management, governance and value optimisation practice
Skills and attributes for success
- Strong commercial, financial and analytical acumen
- Ability to translate complex contract, licensing and consumption data into clear insight
- Strong stakeholder, influencing and relationship-building skills
- Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
- Strong organisational, project management and follow-through skills
- Ability to work across priorities in a complex global matrix
- Outcome-focused, detail-oriented and comfortable driving accountability
- Ability to simplify complex supplier information into practical choices and recommendations
- Collaborative team player with integrity, accountability and a continuous improvement mindset
To qualify for the role, you must have
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
- Experience in vendor management, procurement, contract management, alliance management, supplier relationship management or technology commercial management
- Experience with enterprise technology suppliers, software agreements, cloud services or large technology contracts
- Experience developing reporting, business cases, financial analysis, dashboards or value tracking
- Experience managing senior stakeholders in a complex professional services, technology or global enterprise environment
- Strong Excel, PowerPoint and reporting or analytics tool proficiency
- Experience operating in a large, complex global organisation
Ideally, you'll also have
- Experience with Microsoft licensing, M365, Azure/cloud, ECIF/investments or strategic technology partnerships
- Experience supporting major renewals, negotiations, transformation or post-deal benefit realisation
- Knowledge of SaaS, cloud, AI, data, cybersecurity and enterprise software commercial models
- Relevant certification in procurement, sourcing, vendor management, project management, FinOps or software asset management
- Experience working alongside alliance, procurement, technology, finance, legal and business stakeholders
