The Senior Account Specialist plays a crucial role within the CAM support team. The Country Accounting Manager (CAM) is the Finance Relationship Owner (FRO) for statutory reporting, providing essential guidance to manage and ensure the compliance with statutory and regulatory accounting requirements for the entity / entities under their remit.

Your key responsibilities
- Analyse financial variances in Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet, providing commentary and actionable insights.
- Generate routine and ad hoc financial reports, including reconciliations and financial statements.
- Handle large datasets for informed decision-making.
- Support and proactively engage with internal and external audit activities.
- Conduct intra-group reconciliations to maintain accuracy across the Group.
- Collaborate with the General Ledger team to ensure correct processing of transactions and deliver accurate financial reporting in accordance with agreed timelines.
- Ensure adherence to the regulatory framework and accounting policies for financial integrity.
- Evaluate and refine accounting controls and processes to optimize performance.
- Support ad-hoc projects.
Skills and attributes for success
- Strong background in accounting and financial controlling.
- A sound business sense with excellent numerical skills.
- Proven experience in preparing and analysing financial statements.
- Ability to prioritise activities and work diligently to meet tight deadlines.
- Comfortable working both in a team environment, across functions and locations as well as working independently.
- Possess an open-minded and culturally sensitive outlook, a well-structured and self-driven work approach, and a drive for innovation.
- Positive attitude and a proactive approach to problem-solving, with an ability to challenge assumptions and decisions in an appropriate manner.
To qualify for the role, you must have
- At least 4 years of professional experience in Finance, Accounting, or Controlling.
- Advanced Microsoft Office and Excel capabilities.
- Analytical acumen with a knack for synthesizing insights from big data.
Ideally, you’ll also have
- A good knowledge of and experience with SAP is preferred.
- A proactive, motivated attitude with adaptable communication skills.
