We are on the lookout for a Senior Test Manager & Testing Competency Lead who will be pivotal in driving our testing services to new heights, safeguarding the quality and integrity of the solutions we provide.

Your key responsibilities

 

  • Lead the planning, design, and execution of comprehensive system testing strategies for various projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and client expectations.
  • Develop and maintain test roadmaps, incorporating cutting-edge testing techniques and tools to stay ahead of market trends.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners, Managers, and other stakeholders to define test cost models, launch strategies, and gather insights to optimize testing processes.
  • Maintain high standards for user experience and system performance, leveraging automated testing frameworks and tools where appropriate.
  • Provide regular testing metrics and performance reports to executive leadership, demonstrating the impact and value of the testing team's contributions.
  • Conduct test process audits to ensure compliance with internal and industry standards, identifying areas for process improvement and efficiency gains.
  • Mentor a diverse team of testing professionals, fostering an inclusive work environment and encouraging professional development, design and lead technical upskilling initiatives.
  • Engage in go-to-market activities, collaborating with marketing and sales teams to demonstrate the value and capabilities of our testing services to potential clients.
  • Act as a thought leader in the testing community, staying abreast of emerging trends and technologies.
  • Promote a culture of excellence in testing, with a focus on customer satisfaction and rigorous execution within an Agile/Scrum framework.

 

Skills and attributes for success

 

  • Proven experience in technology systems testing and project management within a consulting or similar environment.
  • Proficiency Test Management tools, Agile methodologies, and automated testing tools.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to develop effective testing strategies and identify opportunities for increased ROI.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to mentor and manage diverse teams.
  • Advanced degree in a related field and/or certifications in Testing Management or related areas are preferred.
  • Proven track record in building and managing a Testing Center of Excellence within a consulting or similar environment.
  • Exceptional analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to develop and implement effective testing strategies.
  • Good planning and organizing, ability to see the big picture as well as focus on details and errorless delivery
  • Strong experience in go-to-market strategies and test process audits.
  • Ability to work in a continuously changing environment
  • Proactive with can-do-attitude, looking for solutions and not offenders

 

To qualify for the role, you must have

 

  • 10+ years of experience in Software Test Management
  • Capability to manage wide & international testing teams
  • Excellent professional communication skills, able to approach senior stakeholders using appropriate level of detail, terminology and fit-to-purpose communication 
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Expertise in test management tools, testing and reporting tools
  • Excellent people management skills, experience in People Management
  • Ability to guide and support Senior Testers and Test Managers
  • English skill enabling to communicate in teams distributed across the world (B2+)

 

Ideally, you’ll also have

 

  • Experience is developing Testing Center of Excellence, establishing best practices, standards, and methodologies for system testing.
  • Experience with strategic level release management within the broader context of service delivery or product delivery, including support and maintenance (focus on aligning the release process with the organization's business objectives and customer needs).
