The opportunity

 

Investing in data capabilities that will drive our growth and create value for our clients is central to EY’s managed services strategy. The Solutions Data Architecture Lead will work with our Data Office, technology teams and technology partners to help build data capabilities and technology to meet our clients’ needs across the full range of EY services. The role involves acting as a champion for our managed services data architecture, supporting its adoption and use by technology development and service delivery teams across EY. It also requires the user to build a network across client-facing teams and EY’s global network to enable us to adapt our data architecture in response to evolving client and market demands.

This position has responsibility for leading the data management and data operations aspects of solution architecture development for global projects in EY.  You will report to the Global Managed Services Head of Data Solutions Architecture and will work closely with the other significant stakeholders as well as global delivery and enablement teams to support the execution of the GMS strategy.  Join us in this role and you’ll be right at the heart of a function that impacts EY, our clients and people, as well as your own career

 

Your key responsibilities

 

  • Work as a member of broader solution architecture teams to understand develop and promote adoption of the managed services data architecture across EY globally
  • Scan across EY, its market and clients to anticipate how client and market demands are changing, feeding this into the development of our data architecture to ensure its ongoing relevance
  • Work with the Data Office and technology teams, as well as technology alliance partners, to ensure that the technology underpinning our managed services delivery meets client requirements and align to EY data policies, standards and architecture

 

Skills and attributes for success

 

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a broader team of solution architects in support of our service line teams to ensure offerings, services and operational processes align with and take full advantage of our managed services data architecture  
  • Ability to engage with and influence technology development teams to align the logical and physical architectures of their products with our enterprise-level data architecture for managed services

 

To qualify for the role, you must have

 

  • Experience of working with IT development, business and other teams to ensure the designs of specific technology, process and people-based solutions align with an enterprise-level data architecture
  • Proven ability to develop internal and external networks and use these to drive the adoption of data architecture and to gain insights into how an existing data architecture can be improved and adapted to better support the organisation’s strategy and growth ambitions
  • Excellent understanding of systems development and process transformation processes and how these can be influenced and supported by effective data architecture

 

Ideally, you’ll also have

 

  • Understanding of the practical applications and challenges of using cloud computing, data fabrics/meshes, APIs, data science and machine learning on global client engagements
  • Good working knowledge of the roles played by data management, data architecture, data governance, data engineering and data science in large scale global operations
