In our area of Financial Accounting Advisory Services, which specializes in the financial sector, you support our audit teams in matters of regulatory AML audits, which in Germany are a mandatory part of the year end audit of regulated financial institutions. 

The opportunity

Within Assurance Service Line, Financial Accounting Advisory Services (FAAS) Team provides regulatory audit support services including:

• Exploration of the appropriateness of the organizational and operational structure of the anti-money laundering unit and compliance with the relevant regulatory requirements.
• Evaluation of the AML risk analysis, taking into account the methodology, completeness and compliance with the relevant regulatory requirements.
• Assessment of the adequacy and effectiveness of the measures taken by the institution to prevent money laundering and terrorist financing and compliance with the regulatory requirements in this regard.
• Review the appropriacy and effectiveness of the anti-money laundering officer's testing and control activities and compliance with the relevant regulatory requirements.

Your key responsibilities

• Support Audit team in performing audit procedures.
• Support the audit with the execution of sample audits. 
• Provide the documentation of audit procedures and audit results.
• Deliver results to the audit report.

To qualify for the role, you must have

• At least 3 years of professional experience in auditing compliance / AML management systems as external or internal auditor. 
• In-depth knowledge of regulatory issues such as compliance and money laundering prevention. 
• Previous working experience in Financial Sector (Big4, Banks, Insurance Companies) is a must. 
• Higher Education within Economics, Finance or Law.  
• Fluent English and  German language skills (both at least at C1 level).
