GDS Procurement Location Lead
Location: Wrocław - 2 days in office / 3 days remote

A key component of SCS is Global Procurement (GP), whose purpose is to drive more significant synergies and value creation from sourcing to contract lifecycle management, deliver exceptional client experiences and build more vital collaboration to manage Technology, Talent and Brand, Marketing and Communications (BMC) spend categories. We forge meaningful supplier relationships and strengthen supplier resilience to help EY maximize long-term value for its people, clients and communities.
As a GDS Procurement Location Lead you will have the opportunity to work with a professional team of Procurement professionals in a global environment and work with colleagues on interesting sourcing projects across PAN GDS locations (9+ countries). Your key responsibilities
Lead the execution of and compliance with EY Procurement and Supply Chain Global Policy, incl.:
- Pre-sourcing activities e.g. demand / pipeline management, make / buy decision making,
- Sourcing activities incl. support and execution of end-to-end procurement transactions,
- Post-sourcing activities e.g. ordering and invoicing support.
- Develop and manage internal business and external supplier relationships across the EY Global Delivery Services (GDS) locations (Poland and Hungary).
- Act as an advocate of Supply Chain Services (SCS) in GDS Poland and Hungary by support of implementation and operationalization of global procurement strategy, tools and transformation initiatives.
- Assist the GDS functional leaders on all the GDS Poland & Hungary requirements by facilitating any functional discussions, implementation and change management of related activities across the two GDS locations.
- Track and report through work with technical teams to align the requirements and dashboards, as well as preparation of reports for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Act as a trusted business advisor through provision of exceptional customer service and delivering seamless procurement end user experience and accomplish quantitative value through savings, cost avoidance and operational efficiencies.
- Lead and support procurement solutioning to address functional and process challenges across GDS Poland & Hungary.
- Work closely with SCS key Business Partners, including but not limited to Finance, Global Counsel’s Office and Risk Management, to minimize EY’s risk exposure and ensure full compliance with relevant policies.
- Delivery of global and team-specific key functional targets (including SLA & KPI) e.g. Quantitative Value, Speed-to-Market and Customer Satisfaction.
- Build a robust vendor ecosystem for in scope GDS locations.
- The role has a seat at the GDS Procurement Leader’s team.
Skills and attributes for success
- Business acumen and commercial skills to help leadership drive procurement and demand management strategies across a broad array of portfolios for the Global Procurement function.
- Strong procurement expertise and commercial acumen to drive sourcing and demand management strategies across a broad array of category services.
- Strong functional, technical, analytics and operations background with understanding of core procurement processes.
- Be the functional expert with capabilities to drive key projects end to end.
- Good knowledge in Microsoft office tools, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
- Good organization, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Updated on all government notifications with respect to vendors and service providers statutory and compliance aspects.
- Reporting – awareness of key procurement metrics, able to analyze data and drive insights.
- Excellent Stakeholder and Vendor Management skills.
- Strong communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills – able to handle conflict situations and resolve issues satisfactorily.
To qualify for the role, you must have
- 5-7 years of relevant experience in handling Operations and large multi geographical transformation projects in similar size organizations.
- Experience in Procurement in a collaborative, high-performance environment.
- Experience in managing a large number of stakeholders.
- Experience with a global, culturally diverse organization.
- Experience working collaboratively, virtually and independently.
- Language proficiency in English and Polish (fluent).
- Work location – Wrocław, Poland (hybrid – 2 times a week from office).
Ideally, you’ll also have
- A Bachelor’s degree.
