The opportunity

 

As part of our EY - Finance Consulting Team, you will help clients develop their Performance Improvement initiatives and identify potential opportunities for performance improvements drive them. This includes techno-functional role conducting finance processes assessments, deep diving and analysing pain areas and coming up with solutions. The client base spans across industries and countries.

 

Your key responsibilities

 

•    Lead OTC process management and ensure service delivery excellence.
•    Drive compliance and service management optimization.
•    Manage customer relationships and credit risk.
•    Utilize OTC tools and technologies for process enhancements.
•    Mentor junior staff and foster team growth.
•    Monitor and manage outstanding AR balances, identifying overdue accounts and taking proactive collection actions. 
•    Conduct thorough analysis of customer payment trends to identify potential risks and proactively address issues. 
•    Perform credit checks on new customers and manage credit limits based on established guidelines. 
•    Escalate complex collection issues to relevant stakeholders for resolution. 
•    Ensure accurate and timely generation of invoices, including proper coding and data integrity. 
•    Review and reconcile cash receipts against outstanding invoices, resolving discrepancies and applying payments efficiently. 
•    Manage unapplied cash and suspense accounts, investigating and resolving discrepancies. 
•    Identify areas for improvement within the O2C process, including automation opportunities, and implement changes to streamline workflows. 
•    Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to AR aging, collection efficiency, and customer payment trends. 
•    Conduct root cause analysis of payment delays and implement corrective actions. 
•    Work closely with sales teams to address customer inquiries regarding invoices and payments. 
•    Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance. 
•    Coordinate with customer service to resolve billing disputes and customer concerns.

 

Skills and attributes for success

 

•    Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or related field; Master's or certification preferred ACCA
•    3-5 years of experience in OTC with a strong service delivery background.
•    Proficiency in OTC tools and technologies such as Tableau, Power BI, GenAI
•    Excellent analytical, strategic, and communication abilities.
