Location: Wrocław / Katowice - 2 days in office / 3 days remote

The opportunity
We are looking for candidates who are motivated to develop in IT audit and technology risk areas, including Data Analytics, Cybersecurity, and emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence. The role offers an excellent opportunity to work virtually or directly with engagement teams across the Americas and Europe, supporting IT audit engagements and building expertise in technology assurance, IT controls, and international audit standards.
You will gain hands-on exposure to dynamic, technology-driven and international environments, working with global teams across regions. The role offers strong opportunities to develop advanced technical and data analytics skills, as well as a deep understanding of AI applications in business and risk assurance. You will continuously build capabilities aligned with modern audit practices, while growing in a fast-paced, collaborative and innovative setting.
Your key responsibilities
As an Auditor, you will contribute technically to Risk Assurance client engagements as well as internal initiatives, with a strong focus on emerging areas such as Cybersecurity, Data Analytics, and Artificial Intelligence. A key aspect of your role will be to actively establish, maintain, and strengthen both internal and external relationships. You will identify potential business opportunities and risks within projects, proactively raise issues to senior team members, and ensure that all deliverables meet EY GDS quality standards.
In line with evolving risk landscapes, you will:
- Assist in IT and cybersecurity assessments, including IT Application Controls, IT General Controls (ITGC), Segregation of Duties (SoD), as well as broader cyber risk areas such as access management, data protection, and vulnerability control frameworks
- Leverage data analytics techniques to enhance audit procedures, including analyzing large datasets, identifying anomalies, and supporting risk-based decision-making
- Support the evaluation of AI-based systems and automated processes, including governance over algorithms, model risk considerations, and ethical use of AI in business processes
- Identify internal control deficiencies and provide actionable recommendations to improve organizational performance, both in terms of efficiency and effectiveness
- Define and execute audit procedures to assess whether identified control deficiencies could have been exploited, including in environments involving automated or AI-driven processes
- Perform IT and security testing across multiple domains, such as Database Security, Process Automation (including RPA), IT Asset Management, Software License Compliance, and cloud environments
- Contribute to the integration of innovative audit approaches, including continuous auditing, advanced analytics, and automation tools
Skills and attributes for success
- 0.5+ year of experience in business analysis, reporting, risk management, finance, IT, or data analytics
- Basic understanding or strong interest in Cybersecurity, AI, and emerging technology risks
- Degree in Finance, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field
- Very good command of English
- Strong interest in Artificial Intelligence and willingness to develop in this area
- High standard of integrity and confidentiality
- Highly developed analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills
To qualify for the role, you must have
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (e.g. B.Com/M.Com/B.Sc. IT/M.Sc. IT/MBA/BCA/MCA/B Tech/M Tech) or currently pursuing studies in Finance, Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Analytics, or other related fields
- Language proficiency – Must have B1 & above in English
- 0.5+ year of relevant experience in financial and business accounting concepts (desirable).
- Proficiency in MS – Excel, MS – Office.
- Basic understanding of or strong interest in Artificial Intelligence, data analytics, and emerging technologies
