The Senior Consultant provides global leadership in the TA2 & Onboarding CoE for Internal Hires, Contingent Workers and Executive Hires. The role is responsible for defining and driving the optimal candidate experience for Internal Hires, Contingent Workers and Executive Hires, setting and driving a clear global strategy, standards and policies to ensure EY is the career choice for future leaders, that every candidate has an exceptional, equitable, challenging and respectful recruitment experience Globally and across EY’s Super Regions. The role will be responsible for working collaboratively with the Super Regions and establish ways of working through Communities of Practice (CoPs) and Networks. They will share and communicate leading practices, identify opportunities for continuous improvement and economies of scale, consult and advise on changes to global process, operating model, service delivery, and digital infrastructure and tools, in support of Global and Super Region service delivery. 

 

They will be responsible for overseeing performance against agreed standards, ensuring EY is “future-ready” to hire new skills for Internal Hire, Contingent Workers and Executive Hire. They will ensure skills, inclusion and belonging, age-inclusive hiring standards and best practices are embedded in ways of working.

 

Your key responsibilities

 

  • Define, communicate and drive EY’s global strategy, policies, guidelines and standards for all Internal Hires,  Contingent Workers and Executive Hire services, activities, candidate experience and process. 
  • Ensure a mechanism of measurement is in place to understand the quality of the Internal Hires, Contingent Worker and Executive Hire candidate experience at Global and Super Region level against agreed KPIs. Where necessary, highlight issues/opportunities for service improvement with Global and Region stakeholders, using a data-led approach.
  • Monitor global / market leading practice and ensure EY’s global strategy, policies and approach supports our ability to meet business expectations for Internal Hires, Contingent orkers
  • Responsible for defining and driving continuous improvements to Global processes, technology and data to optimize the candidate experience and manage risk for Internal Hires, Contingent Workers and Executive Hires. Work in close collaboration with colleagues from the Talent Delivery team.
  • Challenge “status quo” to help drive continuous improvement
  • Where Global solutions and/or changes are required and agreed by Super Regions to enhance the candidate experience, work with Global Talent colleagues to define a case for change and secure investment at Global level.   
  • Manage CoPs/Networks with key stakeholders at Global and Super Region level to provide market/ leading practice insights, share Global strategy, capture feedback on service experience and continuous improvement opportunities
  • Work with the Talent Delivery team members to manage relationships with global Internal Hire, Contingent Worker and Executive Hire operational and transactional activity providers and ensure agreed service standards are achieved and improve standards over time.
  • As required, work with Global Talent colleagues to define and implement changes in TA2 that support broader Talent strategy initiatives (e.g. skills, enhance the EVP, digital innovation and strategy career agility)
  • As directed by Global TA2 Leaders assist in the development of Global TA2 strategy and standards in other fields/disciplines within the TA2 & Onboarding service scope.

 

Supervision Responsibilities:

  • Member of the Global TA2 CoE team, responsible for defining and driving continuous improvement of Global solutions with a view of external best practices and internal stakeholder requirements
  • Where opportunities for change to global solutions are identified, work with Talent colleagues to complete analysis and propose recommendations for change aligned to internal Global Talent governance process 
  • The role will need to achieve success through effective influencing, not direct control. 
  • Foster and maintain effective relationships with other Global Talent Function Leaders, Region Talent Leaders/teams and third parties to drive effective service delivery, consistency in ways of working
  • The role does not have any direct reports but will need to work with project teams and influence others to deliver agreed TA2 priorities/initiatives

 

Relationships:

 This position reports to: TA2 Experience & Improvement Leader

 

Works closely with: 

  • Global and Region TA2 Leaders and Consultants
  • Global Talent Delivery SMRs incl, Experience and Service Delivery Consultants, Product Owner/s for TA2, and External Workforce Leader
  • Global Talent stakeholders including Global SL Talent teams and Global Talent Functions/CoEs
  • As required, Talent function teams, e.g. Mobility, Learning 
  • Non-Talent functions, including: BMC, Risk Management, Procurement, Independence, DEI and Enterprise Technology
  • As required, attend and represent TA2 on Talent governance committees /boards to support decision making with investments and active change program delivery

 

Skills and attributes for success

 

  • The role is responsible for defining and championing EY’s approach to Internal Hire, Contingent Workers and Executive Hires globally, so should have a deep understanding and significant knowledge of the end-to-end external and internal candidate experience, associated processes and technology
  • Proven ability in successfully delivering recruitment related global-scale initiatives that drive operational effectiveness and value for regional recruiting teams
  • Significant knowledge of industry best practice and ability to interpret industry and macro-trends into meaningful and actionable strategies for Internal Hires. Contingent Workers and Executive Hires.
  • Skilled at collaborating with teams across multiple regions and cultures  
  • Ability to navigate conflicting demands due to local country nuances and global requirements. 
  • Ability and maturity to engage with Global and Region TA2 & Onboarding stakeholders to monitor the candidate experience and identify opportunities to drive improvements to service delivery. 
  • Ability to complete analysis to determine the cause of issues and recommend solutions. And proven capability to define a required experience and understand the changes required to process, organization and technology
  • An essential contributor to success will be the individual’s ability to balance the need to set a clear direction and assume responsibility for its delivery, while being seen to reflect the various needs of different SL / Regions / stakeholders and get buy in 
  • Ability to design and produce global policies and standards, creating a case for change and/or business cases for investment in global initiatives, partnering with Talent Delivery and other internal functions
  • Strong communication skills to engage with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
  • Commercial awareness and the ability to evaluate where value is optimized
  • Ability to cope with ambiguity; to drive change and operational performance outcomes in a complex and agile environment

 

To qualify for the role, you must have

 

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR or related discipline or equivalent professional experience

 

Certification requirements:

  • Active membership in related professional bodies or industry groups is preferred

 

Ideally, you’ll also have

 

  • Due to global nature of the role – travel and willingness to work alternative hours (to accommodate time zones) will be required 
  • Due to global nature of the role – excellent written and verbal English language skills are vital
