Finance Supervising Associate
Let us introduce you the job offer by EY GDS Poland – a member of the global integrated service delivery center network by EY.
At EY, you’ll have the chance to build a career as unique as you are, with the global scale, support, inclusive culture and technology to become the best version of you. And we’re counting on your unique voice and perspective to help EY become even better, too. Join us and build an exceptional experience for yourself, and a better working world for all
We provide reporting solutions or requirements through finance, markets and operations reporting along with cyclical and critical controlling processes such as Forecasting, Financial Planning, Revenue Planning, Markets Leadership Planning and Cash Reporting to help you take better business decisions. With projects like Mercury, we also support business transformation, and we are continuing to expand our services to support all Regions with their reporting and analytics needs.
The opportunity
This role gives you the chance to influence the quality and reliability of financial information that leadership depends on. As a Finance Supervising Associate, you will work at the intersection of operations, finance, and data, helping shape how information flows through the organization. You will gain exposure to complex financial structures, deepen your understanding of business drivers, and build expertise in analytical thinking and process optimization. You will play a meaningful part in enhancing how the finance function operates — from improving data accuracy to supporting better decision-making — while growing into a role with greater strategic influence.
Your key responsibilities
- Perform and supervise month-end, quarter-end, and year-end deliverables.
- Prepare Financial Statement under IFRS and internal policy.
- Review P&L and balance sheet movements, perform variance analysis, and explain key deviations with clear business reasoning.
- Present key monthly results, risks, and improvement areas to manager clearly and confidently.
- Ensure all financial documentation, audit trails, and supporting files are complete, organized, and retrievable.
- Troubleshoot discrepancies, data issues, and posting errors, drive issues to resolution, not workaround.
- Ensure reconciliations for key accounts are completed, correct, and supported with proper evidence.
- Support junior staff in clearing mismatches and escalate unresolved items early.
- Identify control gaps and implement corrective actions.
- Serve as the point of contact for inquiries from FRO, business partners, auditors, and other finance teams.
- Support the design and implementation of automation, standard templates, and system-driven solutions.
- Manage escalations constructively, ensuring issues are addressed and root causes are removed.
- Ensure process documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and reflects best practices.
Skills and attributes for success
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and solve complex problems using a structured, data-driven approach.
- Demonstrated ability to delegate effectively, manage multiple priorities at once, and maintain high accuracy and attention to detail in all deliverables.
- A continuous-improvement mindset — you look for better ways to automate, standardize, or simplify work, not just repeat existing steps.
- Proactive, motivated, and open to communication.
- Flexibility and willingness to work as part of a team or on their own initiative.
- Have strong interpersonal skills with the ability to teach the juniors.
To qualify for the role, you must have
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- At least 5 years in financial reporting and other accounting processes.
- Good accounting knowledge.
- Good command of the English language, both written and spoken.
- Good Excel skills.
- Experience with SAP is preferred.
Ideally, you’ll also have
- Exposure to Power BI, or any other visualization tools
