External Communications Leader for EY GDS Poland

 

Location: Wrocław, Warsaw
Hybrid model: 2 days office/3 days remote

We’re looking for a self-driven motivated individual who can define and execute impactful strategies and materials to communicate externally to potential employees and the local community in cooperation with our internal business stakeholders to build EY GDS's employer brand in Poland.

Working in a fast-paced, global environment, this role acts as a trusted business advisor to the EY GDS Poland leadership team to drive strategic external communications programs, strengthen the organization’s brand in the market through traditional and digital PR, digital marketing campaigns, social media programs, and hosted and industry events.

We need a motivated self-starter who thrives on planning and executing integrated internal and external campaigns considering owned, earned, and bought media.

  • You will be a strategic thinker, confident writer and editor, and a strong relationship builder. You see how each opportunity, development, and story connects, seamlessly weaving between employee engagement activities, digital marketing, social media, events, advertising, and PR.
  • You must be able to translate business strategy into measurable tactics, work in virtual teams, and manage a range of global and local programs simultaneously. As you develop your campaigns, you will consider and apply the latest trends and techniques, and use metrics to inform your decisions.
  • You will be a part of the wider EY GDS Brand, Marketing, and Communications (BMC) team in Europe and the larger pan-GDS BMC team, spread across Poland, Spain, Hungary, the UK, Argentina, Mexico, Sri Lanka, the Philippines, and India.

 

Your key responsibilities

 

  • Lead the development and execution of the comprehensive external communications plan to position EY GDS Poland as an employer of choice, a growing and diverse high-tech professional services organization.
  • Work closely with the EY GDS Poland leadership team to raise the organization’s employer brand awareness and support its hiring goals in the country.
  • Coordinate local and localize global external communication projects in the areas of digital marketing, social media, PR, and events. Work with internal and external agencies, as necessary.
  • Build and manage relationships with key business stakeholders within and outside the organization, including industry associations and other organizations.
  • Manage the organization’s external communication budget and prepare efficiency reports.

 

Skills and attributes for success

 

  • Proven capability to translate the business agenda into high-quality, audience-centric communications and employer branding campaigns.
  • Knowledge of modern digital marketing tactics and tools.
  • Solid experience in PR and event management.
  • Knowledge of digital events management tools.
  • Excellent English and Polish language copywriting, editing, and storytelling skills; strong communicator and presenter.
  • Ability to efficiently network and collaborate across a matrixed organization. Proactive approach and ownership.
  • Excellent project management with strong deadline-orientation, attention to detail as well as the ability to work under tight deadlines, prioritize work, delegate and multi-task.

 

To qualify for the role, you must have

 

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in marketing, journalism, communications, or public relations.
  • Strong understanding and skilled in marketing metrics and reporting frameworks.
  • 5-7 years in external communications roles with 3+ years of experience in digital marketing including digital PR and/or paid media.
  • Previous experience in large, matrix diverse organizations.
