Location: Wrocław - 2 days in office / 3 days remote

The Environment Manager is responsible for managing the end-to-end lifecycle of all environments supporting Risk Management and GCO applications, including planning, provisioning, governance, and coordination with release and change management processes. This role requires strong leadership, operational discipline, and the ability to align technical environments with business and regulatory requirements.

 

The opportunity

 

The Environment Manager will lead environment strategy and execution across Risk Management and GCO platforms, ensuring environments are aligned with business priorities, release schedules, and control requirements. This role is accountable for environment availability, stability, and readiness to support development, testing, and production activities.

You will partner with product owners, development, production support, and business stakeholders to enable seamless delivery and operational continuity.

 

Your key responsibilities

 

  • Coordinate, plan, and manage all environment-related activities including provisioning, refresh, and lifecycle management.
  • Define environment strategy covering availability, utilization, and capacity planning.
  • Align environment schedules with release and deployment timelines to ensure readiness.
  • Partner with Service Delivery and Operations to ensure coordinated delivery and operational readiness.
  • Establish and enforce governance standards including environment controls, access, and data integrity.
  • Drive issue resolution related to environment conflicts or instability.
  • Provide leadership, direction, and coaching to support teams.
  • Ensure clear communication across business, development, QA, and operations teams.
  • Identify and implement operational improvements to reduce cost and increase quality.
  • Support Agile/SAFe planning and execution across multiple products.
  • Track and communicate environment metrics and readiness status.
  • Contribute to budget planning and resource strategy.

 

Analytical / Decision-Making Responsibilities:

  • Communicate effectively with Risk Management, GCO leadership, and Enterprise Technology stakeholders.
  • Influence prioritization and allocation of environments across competing initiatives.
  • Balance delivery demands with operational stability and compliance requirements.
  • Build strong stakeholder relationships to enable aligned decision-making.

 

Skills and attributes for success

 

  • Strong understanding of enterprise environment management practices.
  • Ability to translate business and regulatory requirements into environment strategies.
  • Experience in Agile/SAFe delivery models.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience with tools such as GitHub, ServiceNow, or similar platforms.
  • Ability to develop long-term environment roadmaps aligned to product strategy.

 

To qualify for the role, you must have

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline.
  • 10+ years of experience managing large-scale enterprise environments or platforms.
  • 5+ years of experience in environment planning and lifecycle management.
  • 5+ years supporting release and change management processes.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Experience supporting system implementations or migrations.
  • Experience with multiple SDLC methodologies including Agile and Waterfall.
  • Strong project management capabilities and ability to manage competing priorities.

 

Ideally, you’ll also have

 

  • Familiarity with regulatory and compliance-driven environments.
  • SAFe or Agile certifications.
  • Experience with cloud-based enterprise environments.
