Location: Katowice - 2 days in office / 3 days remote

We are looking for a highly skilled Business Intelligence Architect, an experienced consultant who presents self-motivated working style with strong personal ownership of problem resolution. This role is crucial for designing and implementing advanced data solutions that facilitate informed decision-making for our clients and business partners. The Data Architect will leverage their expertise in Azure, Power BI, and various data technologies to drive improvements and integrations across various products.

Your key responsibilities

 

As a Business Intelligence Architect, you will be responsible for:

  • Optimizing and improving the existing data platform to enhance performance and scalability.
  • Design and implementation of SQL and NoSQL database solutions to support data storage and retrieval needs.
  • Design and implementation of ETL processes using Azure Data Factory to streamline data workflows.
  • Facilitating integration between various products and components to ensure seamless data flow.
  • Incorporating AI tools and mechanisms.
  • Creating and managing Power Platform workflows to automate business processes.
  • Development of insightful Power BI reports to provide stakeholders with actionable insights.
  • Understanding and analysis of complex and challenging requirements from various stakeholders, including C-level stakeholders.
  • Addressing data quality issues and propose initiatives to effectively manage data growth across the products.
  • Integration of new data sources to enhance the overall data ecosystem.
  • Translating complex business requirements into technical specifications for implementation.
  • Leading the team of data engineers

To qualify for the role, you must have

 

  • 7+ years of commercial experience in similar role
  • Expert-level skills in Power BI and Microsoft Fabric.
  • Expert-level skills in Microsoft Azure, including building ETL pipelines with Azure Data Factory, database optimization, Analysis Services/Azure Synapse and cost optimization.
  • Hands-on experience with NoSQL databases (preferably document, such as MongoDB) and its integration with other technologies.
  • Expertise in Power Platform.
  • Knowledge of AI domain.
  • Solid understanding of various technologies and components integration.
  • Excellent communication skills to engage with various stakeholders, including C-level executives.
  • Strong ability to translate complex business requirements into technical requirements.
  • Solid understanding of data quality tools and methodologies, with practical knowledge of leveraging them.
  • Experience in enterprise-class solution implementations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to tackle intricate business challenges.
  • A proactive attitude with a reputation for reliability and problem resolution.
  • Very good English (verbal and written).

 

Ideally, you’ll also have

 

Certifications:

  • Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst (PL-300)
  • Microsoft Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate (DP-600)
  • Implementing Data Engineering Solutions Using Microsoft Fabric (DP-700)
  • Azure Data Engineer Associate.

 

  • Proven leadership skills to drive a team of data engineers and foster a collaborative environment.
  • Experience in using Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.)
  • Knowledge of Tax and Payroll systems.
  • Good knowledge of GitHub for version control and collaboration.
  • Experience in another BI tools like Tableau, Qlik Sense, SAP BO, Cognos, OBIEE
  • Experience in other clouds such as GCP/AWS
  • Experience in other RDBMS like Oracle, DB2, Teradata
  • Experience with data lakes
  • Experience with real-time data processing and data warehousing aggregation
  • Familiarity with FinOps principles.
