The opportunity
As a Business Analyst in SI Finance, you will take part in EY internal applications support, data integration analysis, pinpoint risks, undertake efforts to improve financial operations, and ensure that these enhancements are in line with the client's overarching business goals. By understanding the organization's current financial systems, you will support implementing bespoke strategies that foster sustained growth in financial management.
Your key responsibilities
- Assist users and support them with internal tools.
- Perform in-depth analysis of financial data.
- Collaborate with Finance colleagues to gather, understand, and document functional and non-functional requirements.
- Analyze data and interface flows to identify discrepancies and make necessary corrections.
- Ensure the configuration of all SI Finance tools.
- Work closely with Global teams, project managers, data managers, or development teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
- Oversee local tools and hardware and ensure their maintenance with the help of external suppliers.
- Maintain technological monitoring to stay informed of trends and best practices in the field of SI Finance.
Skills and attributes for success
- Proven track record in a similar role.
- University degree in business, finance, IT, or a related field (Master's or Ph.D. is an advantage).
- Outstanding analytical skills, quick understanding, precision, and attention to detail.
- Excellent team player with a strong sense of commitment and responsibility.
- Knowledge of financial management tools and ERP systems like SAP FI/CO.
To qualify for the role, you must have
- At least 2 years of professional experience as a Finance Business Analyst.
- Dual expertise in the fields of Finance and IT.
- Analytical skills and the ability to work with complex data sets.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly, accurately, and concisely.
- Stress resistance.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
- Ability to quickly adapt to new environments and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Knowledge of SAP, SQL, Excel, Power Apps.
- Strong communication skills in spoken and written English and French (min. B2).
